North of England
I understand the concept of trying to make members aware of deals that may be specific to their locality, it makes sense. And indeed with the old format (sorry to mention the unmentionable!), there is the 'Local Deals' section on the right of the page (although no matter how many times I changed it to 'Newcastle upon Tyne' it ALWAYS reverts to 'Manchester'!). Now with the new format, at the top of the screen there is 'North of England'. Again, I appreciate the concept, but the 'North of England' is a MASSIVE area of the country. I'm near Newcastle upon Tyne, I've just had a look at the 'North of England' section and there are deals listed in there for places like Wigan, Bramley, Wednesfield Wolverhampton, there's even...Dorchester, Dorset, whitechapel/stepney green station! How on earth either of those could be considered 'North of England' I have no idea.
Whilst I appreciate the effort you Devs are putting in guys, is there really any point in the 'North of England' section? The old 'Local Deals', yeah there was/is a definite advantage to that but 'North of England' is just far too big an expanse to make it a feasible alternative to the main section especially when there are deals for London listed in there!
Some feedback from the Devs on this would be welcome.

If you try entering 'Newcastle upon Tyne' you'll see it doesn't allow it (see image below). Entering my postcode brings me back to my original point, I see deals listed for Leeds, Manchester, Wolverhampton etc.
However, as more local deals get added for more locations we will add more urban areas to the drop down. As it is we try to get a good sampling of all the major urban areas based on where deals are being submitted. Newcastle upon Tyne should maybe get included in that list. I'll add that to the queue. This recently implemented feature must be generating the most Feedback threads at present.
Perhaps it is time to look at some of the suggestions made by members to improve the usability of the feature.
