This is working fine for me on Chrome on Windows XP. Can you be more specific and provide me with a list of steps that always has this behaviour on your computer?
coastal#2
ok. My bookmark is set to: http://www.hotukdeals.com/computers/deals/new, I select that and visit the site.
I hit the hukd logo and the main page loads, a split second later the original computers/deals/new page is displayed instead.

At this point the network tab under Chrome's Developer tools lists the following;
login post
new /computers/deals https://www.hotukdeals.com/login redirect
then a whole load of stylesheets etc.

It hasn't always been the case, only in the last couple of days.

Works fine using Chrome on Work (64-bit) and Home (32-bit) computers.
Check for updates to your browser as I know Google rolled out new updates recently.

Repro'd on Windows 7 x64 with Chrome 19 and 20. Clicking on a deal and scrolling down (or back up when already in a deal) will randomly cause the site to revert back to the list of deals.

Thank god it's not just me oO

It's been happening to me on Chrome, but I'm on XP for the last 2 days and is driving me mad :(

When I click on a page it goes to the page for a second and then reverts to the original page. If you click again on the page or hit click to go back it goes then to the page I was wanting!!

Well out of your list I'm using

AdBlock,
LastPass

Anyone else suffering and using these extensions?
HeroDeveloper[mod]#10
I use Adblock, but not LastPass and I have not experienced any automatic page backs or automatic page refreshes on the site. Maybe attempt to disable all plugins and see if that works? Also be sure you aren't accidentally triggering a "back" event (Trackpad gesture, mouse button stuck, keyboard backspace key stuck). Thanks. :)

Anyone?

I'm getting this too and I tried disabling LastPass as per the link ("WHY does this site auto-refresh pages?????") above and the problem went away immediately, re-enabled it and it started happening again.
Thing now is, what do I use more, this site or LastPass?
coastal#13
Yup, LastPass looks guilty. Or HotUKDeals.. as this is the only site i've experienced with LastPass running that throws you back to previous pages. Hopefully the developer can take a look now we know the culprits.

This is happening for me too. It never used to happen (i.e around 1-2 weeks ago). I'm on the latest Chrome browser (20.0.1132.47). It only occurs for me when I have lastpass enabled (which is annoying for me as this is an essential extension).

I'm not noticing it on other sites though, only HotUkDeals.

As a workaround, disable the extension when using this site.

Report it to Lastpass. I have and just got the following response

Thank you for contacting LastPass.

Thanks for the feedback. We realize there are some concerns with certain websites and we appreciate the feedback. I will forward your issue to our Development Team to improve upon the point you mentioned. Rest assured that your feedback has been passed to our Dev Team for review.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Couldn't have translated it better myself, fanpages.

Another workaround is to ensure auto-login is NOT enabled for hotukdeals.com on your lastpass.com account. This saves you having to disable the extension completely.

This problem has been bugging me for a while so thanks for the tip - it works! (Win7 x64, with lastpass on a Chrome v19 variant called SRWare Iron).

Still suffering from this same issue - it's such a nightmare! Also using lastpass :(
