waiting to get kicked for 6 lol

It'll come soon enough...lol

It's fine imo, as long as you understand the rules you shouldn't get into trouble

its easy because nobody can be bothered to read the rules n the 1st place, secondly no one seems to care when they get a suspension as they usually come back and do the exact same thing again, and again etc, i do feel for newer members who possibly have no idea but as for older members who know the score but still break the rules anyway, i think they should receieve a ban for say a month from trading on the fs boards

what he said

perhaps the rules should be made more prominent, i did read though them but obviously its easier to break the rules than it is to remember them

There is a link to them at the top of every FS FT thread...

They are difficult to get your head around, but my advice is to watch how the FS/FT forum works for a long time before attempting to trade on there. If you are unsure, you can always ask someone 1st.

Nothing is that urgent that you can't take your time to make sure.

have always said the fs rules should be in bullet form, rather than an essay

perhaps, although ive completed trades sucessfully here and only recieved 1 warning.

When a member is suspended does that block all PMs to the memeber?

does anyone not thing this just creates more problems? especially as when this occurs the thread in question is normally closed too.

It creates problems when the people involved do not follow the guidelines that tell them to get each others contact details.

No it stops the members concerned completing their trades or chatting with their friends. If they could carry on suspending them in the first place would be a bit pointless.

Hi, surely this would just encourage trading by pm?

plus what rediron said

I've always though that FS/FT must cause more trouble than it's worth. There's nothing in it for the site owner yet it must take up a fair bit of admin time.

If people want to buy and sell then there's always Ebay.

Half the problem is the rules change without any notification... The link at the top of the FS/FT thread should indicate when they were last updated, so people know to check them again.

i.e.

Link at top of FS/FT
Stop! Do not start a trade before reading and following this guide: FS/FT trading advice and reading the FS/FT rules - Last updated: 14th June 2009
