please stop the disappearing headers

  in fact, having them on the far right is a bad thing because if you narrow the web page you'll never move the mouse nearby at all.

  one of the more annoying features - just makes it a flickery mess when the mouse moves

  One person says flickering is annoying and the other that its too laggy - I guess the fade is about right then?
  
  The reason to hide them was to make the comments easier to scan. Most of the actions are rarely used in comparison to how many comments are read.

  @realblender - re killing usability. Hiding sections or tools is purposefully 'killing' certain things to focus attention on others.

  It's annoying when someone references a page number so you have to hover over a couple in trial and error to find the one they mean.

  Install rb's script. Sorted. Although I think you need an older version (1.17) to enable permanent headers. They seem to still need hovering over in later versions. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/131617

  I think HUKD speeded it up.
  
  but it's still a damn stupid idea IMNSHO.
  
  when I am looking for the reply or like button, I want to go straight to it and click the bloody thing, not "wave" the mouse around somewhere in hope the options will fade into view.
  
  why not make the names disappear if you don't want clutter?
  why not hide the date and time of the post?
  and get rid of the avatar, that's visual clutter.
  and all that menu banner stuff and logo at the top, yeah, that can go too.
  
  actually, just give me a totally blank page, and when I move the mouse around bits of HUKD could fade in from the background!!!

  damn, I accidentally clicked on like. there's no unlike button. or maybe there is and I simply haven't hovered the mouse in the right place.
  
  surely the whole point of HUKD is to vote stuff up, whether the deal or the comment, and the LIKE option is a key part?!?!

  ok HUKD, how about making it a preference for people to choose whether to have disappearing headers in their control panel?

  Just look at the address bar for the "page=" reference & read the number next to it.
  
  If "page=" does not exist, you are on page 1.
  
  Page numbers are not useful without also referencing the "posts per page" (or "ppp=") value anyway.

  it took me one page reload and lots of mouse waving to be able to reply to this - the REPLY link just wouldnt' appear!
  
  on my phone I get a "<" on the right which causes the header to slide into view
  
  that would be preferable to the totally disappearing headers and have to zig-zag the mouse around.
