OP,

The initial vote is presented to the user at the time of posting, however it maybe a further minute or so before the vote is added to the database.

It's always been like that for as long as I can remember i.e. the screen updates before the database.

There is still the issue where the temperature within a Profile page "Deal Activity" does not match the temperature displayed at the top of a "deal" listing, however.

For example: [ http://www.hotukdeals.com/profile/fanpages?view_all=active_deals ]

227° "Rango" [Wii] £10.99 at GAME.co.uk

At the top of this "deal" listing is the temperature: 228°.

or...

79° European PlayStation Store Special Offers until 13 April 2011 ( PlayStation Network / PSN ) + Permanent Price Reductions (added 6 April 2011)

(Expired on 13 April 2011, yet the "deal" listing states 80°)

That is a previously reported bug (like the one I mentioned in comment #3).

If you were subscribed to this thread you may have noticed that a comment by "HeroDeveloper" was posted at that time. I am guessing it was subsequently removed either by that member, or by the Moderator(s).

The forum summary view shows the date/time of the last post regardless of whether it still exists or not.

Try it now by posting a comment of your own & then deleting it minutes later.

BFN,

Perhaps another case of "housekeeping in error".

This should be fixed.

Why is it that some of my votes result in a big difference, some just one point - and others are ignored completely?

I get that I won't change the world, as I've not contributed many deals - but it seems very inconsistent.

Is there a page somewhere that explains how the scoring system works? Or should work?

Help didn't offer much help ;)
