Not this time thats just a mistake.

Report your own thread by pressing the triangle to the left of your OP and ask a mod to put it in feedback for you :)

The key to this lies in the overall description, i think its important to include as much as you can in the description along with a picture in the second post, this stops you using bumps to answer basic questions. I have only really seen the mods count it as bumping when basic details are asked, details that should have been really included in the description.

I have seen some instances where maybe its been a tad a harsh, what i find annoying though is people offering something on a thread to the op and not stating a price, they are experienced users of the boards and know they must state a price but more often than not it leads to extra bumping as of course the buyer is going to ask how much!

unnecessary post bumps demote other threads unfairly ,if a deal had been struck you should then communicate by PM or using the details you obtained and not in the thread

exactly - we dont all need to see someone posting that they have been to the post office or item received etc :-D

any updates can be added to the description at the top.

its fine the way it is if you ask me.

If letting people know the item has been posted then a simple PM would be fine.........no need to add it to the thread where the buyer probably wouldn't look.

and even if people do feel the need to add it to the original thread then after the item is sold expire your thread. thus majority of people who view 'exclude expired' wont see it anyways.
