Thank you for your thread query diabeticguy, further information regarding why certain posts are automatically submitted to the MOD queue can be found in this recent thread :

http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/troll-alert/873686/#post10609125

We obviously have filters and checks in place that usually only affect brand new members or brand new URLs, but we also have word checks in place to stop spam in it's tracks so it could be that you've used a word or url that has flagged that.

But it's difficult to comment on individual instances without seeing the specific post that was queued, so if you could click on the report icon beside the relevant post and add a note to the comment box that opens we can investigate further and advise directly, thanks again.

It's more than likely you've used a word that's in our spam filter, banned merchants, spam links etc are in there and if a member innocently posts a comment containing one of those words, it will be filtered briefly

maybe some lunatic added the following to the filters...

"bad company ( or vari ants )"

Not that I see the relevance but even when Paul Rodgers left the original line-up (after nine years, before returning sixteen years thereafter) the remaining members of the band retained the name so there were no alternates to consider.Associated acts, however, were Free, Mott the Hoople, King Crimson, & Led Zeppelin.Looks like all these words are allowed; so, no, that is not the reason but thanks for your input (as ever), vibeone.BFN,fp.

as eloquent as ever fp, but I fear its lost on todays yoof ...

But some always try to make themselves apear more grown up, and tend to fail

If that is the issue, well done for working it out, brilly.

I'll try another word below with the same sequence of letters.

A new "Forum Helper" perchance? ;)

BFN,

fp.

i can settle for knowing why 'cause' doesn't return any search results.

ps 'like' worked :)

Oh yes... & after submitting comment #16, my screen now reads...

One step forwards... another one sideways...

BFN,

fp.

[EDIT]: Any plans to return to one combined "bug/issue" thread, sigma? [/EDIT]

Happening on a post (in this thread) I am trying to link to a product on CCLonline.

Is there any way I can avoid this from happening? Any one know what is the trigger?

Haha, happening again now because I have linked to some supplier who is banned? This place is getting really tiresome, very quickly.

Experienced the same for the 1st time myself today.

My problem is that I always type the post/comment, submit it to see how it looks and then adjust/amend the post afterwards.

With this new idea I will need to spend MORE time studying less readable text (as it appears before submission) and that is a true inconvenience.

If others, like me, find this too time consuming then I simply wont bother.

I have never had that problem with other sites like MSE Etc.

Rizla01,

You can always use the Preview Comment prior to submitting, that's what I do most of the time.

I appreciate that SB but half the time my post doesn't need altering so is left as posted.

If I preview every post it doubles the task.

It is in my best interests to be lazy.:)

Why would my comment be in a moderation queue???????????

As highlighted previously in this thread there are a number of reasons why a post may require mod review :
It's more than likely you've used a word that's in our spam filter, banned merchants, spam links etc are in there and if a member innocently posts a comment containing one of those words, it will be filtered briefly

it's difficult to comment on individual instances without seeing the specific post that was queued, so if you could click on the report icon beside the relevant post and add a note to the comment box that opens we can investigate further and advise directly, thanks again.

if you do want to report the relevant post we can comment directly, but it will have been some trigger word / link that caused the temporary delay and nothing connected to your account personally (* NB - have you also reviewed earlier comments in this thread with reference to the word 'aria' being contained within a word string which would also result in a post being queued for mod review eg vegetARIAn for example ?).

@ Sigma

If it being reviewed by a mod, don't you have my comment there??? In a queue!!
[mod]#17
Facebook' - posts containing certain key words are temporarily queued while we can verify, for example, if there is a link and if that link has been assigned to the correct retailer rather then the general 'facebook' link.

@nikkib123 - the relevant post is only queued for the time it takes for one of the mod team to review and action - once actioned it's no longer queued / identifiable as being queued and your post had been approved prior to my post, thanks.

I gave up in the end and deleted my comment, can't think what word would have triggered something.
Never mind!
