I would suggest using notepad jotting down the title or on a piece of paper, then entering that into google with the words 'hotukdeals' usually works spot on for me finding a thread I posted in a lot earlier.

The quotes are just so annoying. Sometimes its only 4 posts to a page (when on 20) cause of the massive posts quoting

at the very least, the cursor should go to the bottom of all original responses when replying

fed up with having to edit posts after posting after finding my new post is in the middle of someone else's response!

It seems the quotation facility is being updated as all quotes are now wrong!

@fanpages - what issue are you having in regards to quoting today?

This is what I see in comment #7:

Replace opening/closing parenthesis with square braces.

"Broken" in both Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 & Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385.

(MS-Windows 7 64-bit)

Quotes were OK about 25 minutes ago.

PS. Related? At 22:41 my thread notification e-mails are being sent from "HotUKDeals" ([email protected]).

Prior to then just ([email protected]). Replace opening/closing parenthesis with less than & greater than symbols.

(Yet another issue; cannot type these around an e-mail address in a comment; previously reported the issue whilst typing in "Private Messages").

Probably not related, but a change nonetheless.

fp.

This has been resolved, sorry for the inconvenience.
@fanpages - in regards to the < and > we are working on a solution for that.
@csiman - what you're saying is that when you quote several people, that the cursor ends up somewhere in the middle of all the quotes? I tried quoting a few as a test and my cursor was at the end.

Thank you.

I also see the same issue as csiman described especially when scrolling up & down a particular page in order to select multiple comments in a reply.

When this happens I copy text manually & add my own "quote" opening/closing tags so that my reply is formatted correctly.

Jumpingphil

I still have to hit the quote button twice to quote someone and the cursor is always at the beginning. And look what it has done to the layout of your post.

This has always been the case since the site re-design hasn't it?

Carriage Return/Line Feeds characters are removed from each line in a comment that is quoted.
