I posted a deal recently in which i found a small glitch that meant you could buy a larger storage capacity mobile for the same price as a smaller one of the same make. I didn't submit a deal for a mobile contract (suicide), just the fact that it was the same price for both. Someone decided to alter my post to show a price which had no bearing on the deal. it seems the police have become a little stazi like on here. they should stop sticking their nose into carefully written posts.

Was it not the £42 a month that you quoted in your post then? Which is £1008 over the contract period?

You say you didn't post it as a contract but posted the monthly cost and that you get Unlimited minutes Unlimited texts 2 GB of internet, which, TBH sounds like a contract to me?

    Hi tighty

When posted in Deals then the whole cost has to be taken into account over the whole term of the contract. Although it's a glitch that allows you to get the 32gb for the same price as the 16gb then members need to know what the cost of that item will be.

Alternatively what you can do is post as a heads up in the Misc section of things like this if you don't wish to post the contract as a deal.

    Thanks

    Alfonse you're quite right

As for the others that can't differentiate between contracts and glitches, learn from your stupoid errors; plus whoever altered my post can't even spell vodafone right.

ironic, luckily I can spell that.

OK, if I buy the phone how much will it cost me, as I said above, and you didn't answer, it seems to me it would be £1008.

i don't care; I assume some muppet will for the unlimited stuff (if their crazy).

For him/her the option of having double the memory for the same price will seem a great deal.

which will cost £1008, which is the point, all contracts are displayed that way, no one was picking on you, the total cost of the phone + monthly payments over the minimum term is always displayed.

yeah you're right; however the deal wasn't for for the exorbitant contract. It was the fact that the 32gb was the same price as the 16gb. nothing to do with the contract.

But you still had to get the contract out to make use of the glitch? Or am I missing something here?

Glitch or not, it's still a pretty poor deal when you consider that for £11 less per month, you can get the same phone on Three. That might be the 16GB version, but with that saving, you could buy a whole new 32GB MicroSD card each month, and still be 50p in the red.

That asides though, I don't think the problem is specifically with this deal, but more in the way that helpers and mods deal with the posts that they change. It's frustrating and dispiriting when someone comes along and messes about with your work without telling you, especially when they introduce stupid mistakes, like the 'Vodaphone' tag added by whoever mauled the OP's deal. I do think there should be a better way of editing people's posts. As it is, if a mod deletes a deal, they usually PM its author to explain why. Could that be made policy for when a mod edits someone's deal, too?

Mods not explaining their actions? I find that hard to believe. (_;)

jumpingphil. thanks for the education, don't know what i would do without that info. my carefully written quote alluded to the content, not the spelling or grammar.

now that i appear to have annoyed every admin, i'm bored ta-da.
