No you left feedback and left positive under your negligence, you didnt check it that was fault for leaving positive without doing so. I would assume sufficient time has passed thus no refund unless the seller wanted to be very nice.

Afraid this should just turn out to be a lesson learned I'm afraid.

Just had a look at the other post, and condition was never discussed. You should have checked it before listing it again, or leaving feedback.

Besides, you could easilly polish out the worst of those surface scratches, they don't look too bad at all.

What did the seller say when you gave him a call to discuss the refund?

Fair enough about the refund, but I still think I should be able to have the feedback removed.

I couldn't believe it when I came to check the disk after i'd been accused of profiteering! it's a good job I didn't sell it onto someone else or they would have been demanding a refund.

Have you even played the game too see if it runs okey?

Again fair enough, there was no mention of condition, I suppose I would only expect a refund if the seller was honest and owned up that the game was in poor condition, but I would hope the feedback could be removed.

There was no mention of a phone call, I asked him to drop me a PM

Haven't got the Wii anymore, it was when I tried to sell the game on that I was accused of profiteering (which was sorted out) and then when I received an offer on the game I checked the condition.

Can a mod comment please? Thanks

Perhaps that should be your next course of action then

I'm awaiting a response from the seller on his thread, but regardless I would like the feedback removed if possible.

why not just call him?

no more waiting and can be instantly sorted

Condition of the disk surface was never mentioned by ether buyer or seller on the original thread,
its reasonable to expect some wear to the surface of the disk on a 2nd hand game, if the game actually plays okey I dont think the seller has done any wrong.

Also its your responsibility to check your happy with the item and the buying experience Before you leave feedback.

Why are you so intent on getting the op to admit he hasn't got the phone number.
What will you be saying then? Ya-boo sucks, your fault entirely.
Or do you have a valid reason for pursuing the phone call route?

I can see where you are going with the whole validate a landline number rule, but does anyone actually do that?

Fair point, but you would expect a seller to highlight if an item was in especially poor condition which this game is. A for your other point, fair enough, but I don't see why the feedback can't be retracted in hindsight.

Surely in 95% of cases people are perfectly happy with a trade and have no reason to request this, so when it does occur, there is a good reason behind it.

I hope not, I posted here hoping for a response from a mod, not some mod wannabee like yourself.

And as for attitute, maybe if your initial reply hadn't been so full of it, you wouldn't have got the same back

Still waiting for a mods ruling on this

I doubt very much you will get the feedback removed.
The mods don't read all the threads on here so if you particularly want a mod answer, I would report ( The little red triangle ) one of your posts in the original thread and ask that way.
I gather you can't try the disc now as you haven't got the Wii anymore but it looks to me like it would play ok. ( Of course, I could be wrong there but sounds like we'll never know ).
Do you have a friend with a Wii who could try it for you?

If you wanted mods to reply why didnt you just you the contact button for them instead of creating a thread?

Thanks for the info, I have reported the thread but got no response so thought I'd try here.

I'm sure the game would play fine, it's more the fact that the game is in such a state I cannot sell it on or even trade it in at game / blockbuster as they wouldn't accept it.

This site is such a strange place, you go for years without any problems and then you have a week where you seem to get in an argument with everyone over everything :)

This thread alone proves it, more people trying to make out I'm a liar / breaking the rules rather than offering help! :-D

Update to above.

The initial feedback should remain. It appears valid at the time and your description of events do not merit removal. There are very few circumstances which would permit us to remove feedback.

With regards to your purchase price, you would have difficulty establishing a refund value. The OP may have thrown in the item for free given that they only realised their asking price for the other item.

Furthermore your complaint appears to be personal, and indeed you're still continuing this within the OP of this thread.

In addition, you have a game and you're not sure if it works or not. I see little basis for any complaint at present until you establish the facts. Even then, this would be a private matter between you and the seller.

This thread will remain closed.
