not quite sure how you can make such a judgement without knowing any of the details to be honest

I mean in general not talking about any specific instances.
funny how there appears to be no mods online within the last 2 hours but ill guarantee if i post a dodgy gif or comment they will suddenly jump out the woodwork in full force
selected inconsistent moderating appears to be commonplace on the forum these days

what is your point exactly, youre talking about comments that warrant removal from what i can see....ie they break the house rules
im talking about comments there are totally nothing wrong with, removing these kind of comments only does 1 thing which is encourage trolling

Perhaps if you "report" a comment in this thread (say, comment #3 for avoiding the "swear filter"), or the whole thread, then you would find one of the "Mod team" reads the comments here.
I do agree with avfcniall to some extent though. Depending on the time of day a comment is posted, some members of the site staff will act proactively (by attending to comments without receiving "reports"), others will wait for "reports" to be made, & others will let some "near the knuckle" comments remain & join in with the 'banter'.
Additionally, some members do seem to revel in the notoriety of being suspended & try to push the content of the comments to the point of breaking the Forum Code of Conduct on regular occasions.
They also comment on their return & make light of their "holiday". This may antagonise others & subsequent comments may be "reported" more frequently to try to lengthen the suspension period for the next offence.

take note of what exactly?
As I mentioned, if somebody "reports" a comment made about them, & the member of the "Mod team" attending to the "report" concurs that it is an offensive comment, then it will most likely be removed.
Did you "report" the comment made about you?
