I would not worry yet! Post is taking absolutely ages. I am waiting for stuff posted 2 weeks ago also, but I am sure it will turn up. the snow and time of year is really slowing things down.

Please get in touch direct with the seller. You should have their fully verified details, including name/address/email/paypal etc.

The member in question will have all their threads locked until outstanding trades resolved.

If the seller says they only got round to posting on the 1st/2nd - it's only the 6th - so 4 days.

The post has been so slow recently because of the weather...don't panic just yet :) x

with the sellers 23 previous positive feedbacks (including one for an item worth £80) i think you will end up with your goods and it will be down to the seller sending it late due to a family difficulty and the royal mail being slow at present...but if you havent bothered to get any contact details off the seller and verify them then you quite frankly deserve to be scammed, you wouldnt give £20 to a stranger in the street who promised to send you an item, trading on here is no different...on your next trades get full contact details and then verify them

I have contacted the seller but have not had a reply since 1st dec. First she said she posted 26th November and i kept emailing her with no response so i reported her, as soon as i reported her she replied on thread and said it would be posted the next day. I have not heard anythinh since so i don't even know that it has definately been posted? :(

I deserve it do i??? I think that's a little harsh, don't you??? I would of thought that having 20 odd positive feedback in the first place was enough to trust? I was obviously wrong!!!

kerryanncov,

You can never be confident that a member will always return to the board, or that other matters may require direct escalation away from the forum.

Consider giving the member a call, rather than await a PM/thread update.

Regards

Unfortunately member feedback isn't always something to go by, myself and others got scammed by someone on here who had over 80 positive feedback, and with whom we had all dealt with before, just make sure in future you get the contact details off of here, it's a terrible thing that people feel the need to scam, it is theft afterall, but some people can obviously live with that, hopefully in this case it will just be the postal delays x

youre right deserve wasnt the right word sorry, what im getting at it that if you dont follow the guideline set out for you in the first place you should "expect" to be scammed...my example still stands though, as i said 23 previous positives would indicate to me that you will get your goods so you might have got lucky

read the FS rules as stated above. Tells you all you need to know (if only more buyers did this!).

Get their address, email and home phone number, ring them on the home phone to verify it's actually valid etc, you can always pay by paypal rather than gift and ask the seller to split the fee's or pay them yourself, that way you do have better cover, hope it all gets resolved, this board is a fab way of trading and its such a shame when it goes sour, the mods do their best to try to help resolve problems by pm'ing, restrictions etc, but at the end of the day its down to the individual to take precautions x

Thank you, i will be sure to do this next time. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure the seller is genuine and there has just been a delay due to the weather but her communication is terrible!
