[Request]: Add a padlock as a prefix to the threads that have been locked
Given the recent increase in Moderators closing ("Feedback") threads when the discussions have reached a conclusion deemed sufficient to cater for the site's (staff) needs, as is (now) the case with threads that have been marked as Expired, please can you consider adding a "padlock" image (or even just the word "LOCKED") as a prefix to a thread title to indicate no further comments can be added?
This need only be in "text only" (Forum Summary) view, if desired.
Thank you.

good idea though as many of those threads are not really truly expired.
Edit - Has been marked as expired since i posted :{
Edited By: aunty jane on Feb 20, 2012 10:05: thread now been expired
We will look into this though as a request. Thanks
It wasn't marked as 'Expired' when I last looked at it (either).

Again, without wishing to repeat myself, you did say we could discuss the closing point from the first thread, then locked it. I raised this again in the second thread, & that was then locked.
OK, I get the hint! The subject is closed :)
This aside, was this "Feedback" thread marked as 'Expired' because the request has been added to "the queue"?
Thanks for your clarification.
PS. I also 'bumped' a few of my other "Feedback" threads from 6+ months ago that have gone unacknowledged just after creating this thread yesterday.

Re the Amazon Marketplace sellers; a good point was raised in that the seller you are taken to in the link may not be the one the OP recommended when creating the thread. A lot of members mention which marketplace seller they are creating a deal for, but not all. It would be nice if there was a way to show the actual seller on all these deals when the OP forgets to include it in the thread title. Personally, I don't think it's that big an issue, as Marketplace transactions are offered some protection by Amazon themselves meaning they're probably safer than buying direct from the website of a company who have "issues" such as ... , no, I promise I won't mention them again. :)
The proposed change to FS/FT rules thread was also locked. It would have been nice if some other members and mods had taken the time to get involved with that one. As it stands, items breaking site rules are sold every day so Admin needs to have a look at it.
Sorry for hijacking your thread FP, but it's nice to find a thread that isn't locked (even if it does still say expired at the top). For what it's worth, I agree there should be some indication when a thread is locked.
Hero's in for a busy day if he's addressing all your outstanding threads tomorrow. :D
We took a look at the fs/t thread but there was nothing further to add at this time, hence it wasn't unlocked.
I marked this one expired and just tagged it as I had added it to the dev queue and didn't want Hero doubling up on my reports. He's been in feedback since and has seen this one as actioned so I've unexpired it

Hi JB
Will anyone be looking at it in future? Obviously, nobody wants games, DVDs etc banned from FS/FT but, at the moment, anyone selling these is breaking the site's rules. Simply enforcing the rules for some products while letting them slide for others isn't really the best policy. It would be better to update the rules to better reflect the way the site runs.
Standard retail items are not banned. It's been discussed and clarified before, despite an attempt by some to muddy the waters. We'll leave this thread to remain on topic now.
Thanks.

This one is not marked as expired but is locked (but you don't know that till you enter the thread) http://www.hotukdeals.com/feedback/request-for-admin-mod-1171468#comments
Whats the point of "expired" when you can still post in the thread?
