I don't see why it's a problem though? Surely you'd expect to pay to send it back and pay return postage if something went wrong?

The reason for the suspension was probably because of the way you went about posting it in every single thread.

After 28 days you have to arrange your own repairs - Consumer Direct have told me to take them to court but only trouble Jersey as different consumer laws. Just highlighting the poor service :thumbsup:

Phil21: Clearly you don't actually understand what that means. A manufacturers warranty is in *addition* to your Statutory Rights as a consumer, and is not a legal requirement. So what you are trying to promote as a negative is actually a positive.
Phil21 I now exactly what it means as the UK Consumer Direct been helping me, unfortunately I will have to contact Jersey Consumer Direct. Basically in my opinion Play.com will not get my custom in the future because of poor service!

Why do you keep posting this junk on every Play.com thread ? It's meaningless anyway - when something breaks down, the first place you go is the manufacturer for repair ! This is normally the fastest and easiest way to get your problem sorted - going back to the retailer is a last resort !
I disagree with your statement - often the retailer will send a replacement or a refund! Also a bulky heavy item costs a lot to post back :whistling:

if the item goes wrong in its 12 month warranty, why should you have to fork out for a repair ??

i won't use play or another jersey based merchant when buying expensive goods for that reason ..... the jersey consumer laws are pretty lax compared to ours......

play.com are brilliant for cheap dvd's cd's etc

p.s. you deliberately trolled the site with your comments so got suspended, it wasnt harsh, it was deserved, all you need to do is place one thread on the misc section to get a debate about it :)

If you wish to return an item to us, please log on to your Ebuyer account and follow this procedure.

Once you are logged in go to :

Once you have clicked on new return please fill in the step by step returns form specifying what action you would like us to take whether it is a refund or replacement that you would like, and also the reason for return.

If the item is faulty, please provide us with as many details of the fault as possible.

If you wish to exchange the item you are returning for a different one, please enter the quickfind code of the item you would like in exchange in the same section as where you have described the fault or reason for return.

The email I showed you was for a 9 month old DVD player. Acknowledged faulty - fully refunded.

The biggest problem you have to wait in for the courier to pick it up.
