if they have genuine feedback to give surely it should be allowed - if they are just 'stalking' then no

Am guessing it's CDiscount. Seems like good advice to me.

Don't think they are alowed to post just help out.

Could you drop one of us a message with the details please :)

I think its good when retailers respond on here. I seem to remember there was someone from ChoicesUK and they used to confirm whether deals were misprices etc and chase up orders if items had not been received. So it does have its good side.....as long as they don't post deals or contact members by pm.

However the point about vetting/verification is a good one.

Post 12.

Am guessing all 4 Cdiscount members are all cdiscount. So multiple users!?

Ok, I've had a look at the posts you're referring to :) Several of the merchants listed on Hotukdeals do have member accounts.
We do not allow them to promote their brand in any way, shape or form.
We do, however, agree with them offering feedback and support to members on the forums if a problem arises.

Fair enough if that's the agreement.

Are they "vetted" in that capacity - i.e are the forum admin satisfied that they do represent the company?

(not asking what checks are made, just ascertaining whether checks are made)

We approve it through the contact form.

The rule is they can't promote or do any sales talk but can respond to questions with facts only.

If it becomes problematic and have problems we'll cut it but so far it seems useful to have an official response on some issues.

Anyone remember that awesome IT guy and we crashed his server and he got an automatic alert to go to work at like 2am to sort it out, that was ace, we had loads of banter with him and he got to like full rep within an hour of making the account.

EPIC thread
