Jump to unread Post a Commenti think its awful, god knows where those poor things will end up, and my question was removed by a mod! thats terrible
i thought the selling of pets wasnt even allowed on here, if she wants to sell them then fair enough but on a site like this? is she going to check who the buyers are ? will she check on the kittens once rehomed? i doubt it

Saying "who know where these poor things will end up"
You could say the same thing no matter where they are sold.

very true hun, but if they home check the buyers and follow up on how they are being treated then fair enough,
if they are sold on, i just hope the seller does these checks, its not hard to do

Only people I've ever seen selling cats are breeders OR Gypsies

just have to hope they dont get harmed with someone she sells them too
has been reported and ASB now allowing it
disgusting if you ask me!
What checks have to be carried out by sellers of kittens by other methods of distribution?
Are members worried about the postage method? Maybe HUKD can specify that the cardboard box with airholes are used?

The seller was only offering two of the same product. Hence, not trade-like behaviour!
PS. "Misc" thread...
"Surely this is unacceptable on for sale/trade....."
PPS. Two related "Misc" threads; the same member was trying to rehome a pet (for free) but was stopped because the animal may have been on the restricted breeds list...
"Anybody looking for a family dog?
"Dog rehoming"
Presumably if it had not been a restricted breed, then the first thread would have continued to a mutually satisfactory conclusion.

but surely it is profiteering as the cats do not have any rrp oO
I see the mods are quiet on this one ....................

but not surprising
aye? :{
As for profiteering/rrp - we'd review any such concerns if/when reported.
Shocking that you only just decided to look at this thread now..... or maybe something else I have said has annoyed you and you have decided to infract me for this ?? My guess it is was my statement that hukd is not a safe place to trade has upset you.
Please can you return my comment and remove the line that you find offending as I feel it is on topic and adds to the discussion..
We're not that petty, just ensure you can comply with the code of conduct prior to posting and all should be well. As for the deleted post, feel free to repost but do remember to take the advice above.

doesnt this thread in feedback constitute a report on the person selling two kittens? Obviously selling kittens is profiteering isnt it?
Somebody who thinks keeping pets & their eventual offspring is free of any costs obviously does not keep pets themselves.

dont be stupid - cats dont have an rrp and I have lost count of the number of times threads have been closed as the items dont have a rrp
I have two cats BTW :)

I didn't say animals had a recommended retail price.
They do, however, eat food, need injections & other veterinary incidental costs.
Perhaps asking a nominal fee for an animal is a way in which a concerned seller can tell if a prospective buyer realises the cost of keeping a pet. Those that baulk at the thought of the initial payment for an animal may not be deemed suitable as an owner, & the seller may reserve their right not to sell to that party.
