Most of the things being sold are brand new so how can that not be business like ?.
#2
I agree. I sometimes wonder if all these kids clothes threads are some sort of code for drug dealing...

Thats my main gripe. How can anyone have 423 personal items to sell at one time? I wouldnt mind so much but each item is in its own thread!:w00t:

And the user has NEVER posted a single deal on HUKD!

Lol just looked and all since Jan 2010,How can ASB have missed that :whistling:
Someones running a business on HUKD,

I have a couple of active FS threads, and would have no problem with a limit of ten being imposed.

This site isn't meant to be in competition with ebay, so over 400 threads is a bit much
#7
Good idea and I cant see why anyone would be put out by it, maybe it'll make people put more stuff in one thread too although 10 active could still mean taking over the page if all bumped at once.
#8
That user has only ever posted in FS/FT and never contributed anything else to the site, clearly running a business

I asked before

great minds do think alike however

Stick a report in please, if there's businesslike activities we will enforce a restriction.

i'de hardly call it trader behaviour, no different to what lots of mums with little ones are selling. just more noticable because there is a thread for each item, look through other threads of mums selling their little ones clothes

yep totally agree, was just giving my opinion, its also pretty sad if this person is banned from selling their unwanted clothes when others are doing the same, as a mum i know how much we buy and never get round to putting on them

maybe look through the threads, most are duplicate threads, so not 400 items, like others do, list, bump 3 times within a short time, lock and relist

Actually i don't think it neccessarily could be dodgey. If you have a 2 year old for example, kept all their clothes in the hope of having another one and then decided to sell, then it is quite easy to have quite a lot of new items.
And so what if she hasn't posted any deals, she's contributing to the site by listing her items, that on its own brings internet traffic to the site.

be careful LLM you have sold more than she has, you maybe next

You could be right.Looking its only 30 or 40 brand new items that are relisted, Just seems that they jump on anyone else after three or four new items,

ASB knows im genuine, i'm one of his faves ;-) plus i don't like clutter, it don't get used, it gets listed...simples. (Thinking of putting the husband on, i want a younger model....ASB  )

no they where not at all, and even if new, many mums on here, including LLM have sold lots and lots of new baby items, and 400, who counted them?

And like i said its easily done. Relatives buying minging stuff for gifts, birthdays etc, stuff youv'e bought yourself then changed mind. My daughter has 7 BNWT monsoon dresses that she got for easter last year, never been anywhere to wear them, and one was 58 quid...trust me its easy to get a massive bulk of new stuff.

If they were locked then surely they wouldnt show up as ACTIVE FS/FT threads. The member I refer to just puts SOLD at the beginning of the threads. No locking involved hence 400+ active FS threads

I do know myself though of one Business trader, she was buying stuff on Ebay cheap (new stuff) then listing them on here for more money. ASB has picked up on it though, coz she ain't allowed to sell new stuff anymore.... (my hero!)

well i havent counted them but i know for a fact she has not listed 400 items, and also know that all havent been brand new, so i havent made any assumptions, so my posts are made from what i have seen

actually after looking at the first 100 threads, about 40% of them are WANTED threads. To me, 100+ active wanted threads is really taking the pee.

thats isnt the member being referred to here, it may well have been who you meant, but the following posts arent about this member

also not sure what you mean by not showing up under active if expired, the only way they wouldnt show up is if you have exclded expired on

no-one is doubting that people have genuine stuff for sale. What we are saying is that this is mainly a deals forum and now seems to have about about 50% of threads coming from the FS/FT section which is not on (imho).

As much as I like the FS/FT forum, it may be time to do the unthinkable and remove it due to massive abuse by people just using this site as a free ebay alternative.

ide also like to add i totally agree with limiting the amount of active threads one can have, and its been asked for and discussed numerous times, it would help with alot of things, but obviously something admin doesnt feel needs enforcing, or something that cannot be done, or doesnt know how to do it maybe

must be damn hard to keep check of whether someone has multiple listings for the same items when they have

But who cares? Its all bringing pennies into the big ones pockets! I personally ain't found many deals throughout the years, but i also don't use MSE, deal of the day to pinch them from and look good on here. I'm all for FS/FT on, i think its brill, and certainly Ebay has lost one high feedback member just through me alone. Bin the scammers, use ya nogging and be like me organised with your sale posts and whats the problem?
