Have you ever thought this is a free to use website ? If you are willing to do if you wish above, there is Ebay out there.

A lot of people have came across with your thinking but you will have to live with it, if you don't just simply don't use this site.

RRP rule = legality, ensure people don't get ripped off, fairer market for all.
7 Day to Relist Rule = You get three bumps per thread, and then can relist, stops people using the 3 bumps then closing the thread to immediately reopen it and start bumping that new thread. Thus ensure a fairer chance for everyones threads to be seen, and not keep getting pushed down by constant bumping.
2 Items in a 3month period = as you stated it stops mass traders, people who got lots of an item cheap and then sell on for profit (also another rule which is not allowed).

This is a free service, and it does work reasonably well. Try fo.lk, now that is a mess still, but as far as a free service goes it is pretty good. The rules are there for protection, and for a fairer board,
Pay via paypal gift or Bank transfer then you also incur no fees whatsoever, thus the benefit over the few minor issues you outlined I'd say outweigh it.

EDIT: Except for 'RRP rule = legality' but RRP rule helps stop profiteering and people being ripped off

Penaltys for rule breaches should be harsher imo

For example on AV forums listing elsewhere is a immediate 1 month trading ban

why stop there if people are genuinely attempting to scam people they should be banned from trading for life.

although advertising something for sale on a number of sites simultaneously is hardly the crime of the century, there is the potential to sell the item a number of times and just dissapear with the cash

tbh i dont understand why multis are not taken more seriously in the grand scheme of things.....banning the multi account and infracting the original is hardly a worthy punishment nor does it prevent from happening again

In response to the RRP rule agreement, I was stating more so, about the shop vouchers and game codes etc.... The example i've already used is the bad company 2 VIP Code which isn't allowed to be sold because it has no value apparently. Clearly it does at it sells on ebay, and people will pay for it

Also I don't see what's wrong in somebody making a profit if the buyer is happy to pay the amount then let them pay that amount. I'm sure if somebody is charging too much there will be enough people to state that.

The 7 Day listing rule should be changed to say 2 or 3 days or the asking what price thread could be changed to a FS/FT thread upon request.

Once you let people profiteer on one type of item like game code then you would have to allow profiteering on all items so it would just turn the site into ebay without the fees. As you've said it can be got on ebay so people can go get them there if they don't like the rules on here.

Also if it was changed to 2 or 3 days relisting then people would be more inclined to close their thread after 3 quick bumps and relist as the waiting timeto relist would be minimal which would cause the FS forum to be spammed with the same items over and over again.

As for the asking about prices on misc then moving it to FS, it would be too open to abuse as people would start up threads keep bumping it as many times as they want until they get interested buyer then move it to FS. Which would basically just turn the misc thread into a FS thread. If someone wants to know how much something is worth they can ask and wait 7 days or just do a tiny bit of research themselves and find out

the 7 day rule was brought in after requests for it from members wasn't it?

awoodhall2003 what did you mean by RRP rule = legality?

As far as the BC2 VIP codes go, they are bundled with the game and so have to be sold with the game anyway.
