People should really only spamming them if they are dupes...expiring is a different story all together but if the mod thinks its not a dupe or not expired they'll just re-open it for you and those who excessively spam threads when not needed or wrong do get warnings suspensions etc so smile :)

Like the tag idiots. If something's been spammed, you wouldn't be able to see it's been marked as spam. Irony.

Actually you can.

agree with you-some deals should be spammed like those "nielsen surveys" for free amazon vouchers that appear all the time and ones we know to be against the rules-ebay,amazon marketplace etc-mods cant read every single post so members have the ability to spam stuff.

and all the fake ugg deals etc must be spammed,sometimes to protect others who may not realise-end of the day tho mods do not allow improper use of the spam button.

Err, no you can't. If it's been EXPIRED then the spam/expire buttons have strikethrough. If somebody clicks spam, the only indication is when the whole post disappears ;-)

I've just spammed this, can you tell?

I see. Well I stand corrected. Still, people expiring deals for no good reason is still a legitimate complaint.

I'm sick of seeing deals getting marked as spam when they clerarly are not. it seems some people delight in marking deals as expired and spam when in reality they dont have a clue.

If you see a post wrongly marked as expired, please use the report button to let us know. We will probably look into it to see who did it and take appropriate action if it has been wrongly expired.

And no, you cannot see a deal once it has been spammed, something can only be either spammed or expired.

I think the spamming is worse tbh, at least expired stuff is still available to view/comment on/get unexpired. Btw...

See? It's got strikethrough as I no longer have the option to spam, only expire. Once expired everybody loses the option to spam (or expire). Thats why Sigma moans at people who expire obvious spam rather than spamming it. Get your head round that one :lol:

Sorry to sound thick but where's the 'Report' button??

I don't think this should have been expired so was trying to report it;

Can I just say that I personally don't like being able to spam and or expire by clicking just once, couldn't it be made like adding rep where you have to click again to confirm. It doesn't happen often but I have clicked spam by mistake, in fact I got to this thread after doing a search for Spam because I mistakenly pressed it on a post.:oops:
