I'm guessing you didn't lock the old listing and you are only selling one drive?

yeah, but why would i lock the old one? im still selling the drive! this xbox system i'm sellng now has its own hdd... so if i want to sale it, i have to sale it without a hard drive, because i am selling a hard drive seperately? just silly... i can provide photos that i had more than 1 drive...

Well if this is the case you can prove that. And you haven't broke any rules. Use the contact us page and take a picture of the two drives with todays date and your username, the points will be lifted i'm sure if that's what they were for. :)

yeah, but not sure i can be bothered to argue any more, seems to be a major hassle listing anything here, but will post them here just to show im not lying..

Okay. I have reported the thread for you.

Word of advice don't sell more then any 2 of one kind of product or you will be brought up under the rule of bulk selling.

Within 3 months.

yeah, believe it or not, i read all the rules before i posted anything, i didn't really expect the complete system to be associated with a standalone hard disk, whether that be mis interpretation of the rules by the moderators or by me,

my analogy about the printer and the ink needs an answer tho, i think each case should be treated on its own merits, selling a processor, and a full pc for example could technically be the same too... im pretty sure those rules were made without this in mind though, different interpretations of them lead me to believe they should be clarified a little better

Thanks for your help

Moderators do go on reports of other people and sometimes can be miss read or miss qouted. There are a lot of people who flaunt the rules. So I guess the people get fed up of seeing people do this.

I would advise you put in the OP that you have 2 of a kind etc. :)

the rules are their because the mods do not have time to mark each thread on its own, so a blanket across the board to cover what they class could be abused. as adam has said contact them via the report button and explain the situation

I inititally did this, but then was refered with this ruling, and then subsequently ignored after that, which is why i gave up, but had to rant..

Please note rule 3

(19) When a thread is expired, closed or removed from the FS forum, the same items must NOT be relisted until a period of at least SEVEN DAYS has passed from the date it's closed and expired. Those same items must NOT be listed or offered in ANY other active thread. * It's YOUR responsibility to use the 'report' button to have your active threads closed BEFORE relisting.

(3) All sales MUST be listed and completed fully on the HUKD FS/FT forum. All negotiations must be done within the thread until a sale is agreed by both parties. Contact details must NOT be added to FS/T forum threads. NO eBay, auction, classified or external links to an item listed elsewhere. You must NOT list your items for sale or trade here if they're listed elsewhere, this also applies where you have more than one of the same item being offered and includes 'Request' or 'Wanted' threads.
* Trading/buying/selling items on behalf of a third party is NOT permitted without our prior consent, use the 'report' button to let us know. The items MUST belong to you or your household and be in YOUR possession.

Besides, i am not so much arguing about the rules, just the interpretation of them, there is a fine line between someone selling petrol and them listing a car for sale, with petrol inside of it.... ( ok i will stop with the analagies now )

I agree with you, but its "sell" not "sale"
#12
i would be a little peeved as well but looks like an honest mistake and mods are being proactive , possibly another member reported you tbh

maybe you should have posted the above picture in the thread to show you have 2 hard drives rather than people jumping to conclusions, but im sure you can see what has happened here now seeing as youve read the rules.

people re-posting happens more often than not and its all for the communitys benefit

it's 'it's' not 'its', but why are we picking out spelling/grammar mistakes on a non formal forum? :? and what does it have to do with anything? :)

its called respect for the people who have to try to understand people's lack of comprehension!

and no need to throw your toys everywhere cos of an honest mistake :)

i'm not here to argue over the dictionary, i wanted to make a point, pedantic people need not bother posting.

I haven't thrown toys everywhere, and mistake or not, the lack of communication and tolerance is the problem here more than anything, i tried to explain the error that was potentially made in this case, but just ended up with the site rules thrown back at me via pm from a so called "super" mod... , as if i was too stupid to understand them or something... and my pm contacts went without reply, so i assume they are blocked...

So, it is not as if i didn't try, as far as they are concerned, they are still in the right here......

It is the principal more than anything, i now have some bs infraction, this isn't a damn playground, i want it removed either way, didn't come here to be treated as a child with gold stars ( reputation ) for being good, and infraction points for being naughty.. i really have no idea what this site thinks it is.

What difference does the length of time i have been registered make? i registered a couple of months ago, so i could post and vote, but been visiting this site for about 2 years on and off..

Stupid rules are stupid rules, regardless of when i 'joined'.

I used the link, doesn't mean we cannot discuss it, thats what feedback forums are for right?
