thanks, glad im not alone, but this post is likely to be swallowed up an lost forever once it gets past past page 2 on new probably, especially with all those supermarket offers comming through,

The same could be said of loads of different items from one sale or a zillion offers from Play or all the ones you get which are only a deal because of a voucher reduction, even if the voucher is in 'vouchers' and so on for ever, or someone gets a fad for biscuits and posts all the deals that are out there, each in a separate thread.

The standard answers are that if they are not good deals they will be voted down and that there are particularly good bargains which can be highlighted. Plus who is to decide what the members of HUKD want?

In a previous site incarnation, it did used to be much less individual item and much more retailer based IMO.

Im awfully sorry, your idea makes far too much sense.
Ideas like that rock the boat.... and you arent even a long standing member "in" with the powers that be!

geeees... are you crazy or something?

Yes I totally agree that the supermarket deals take over the site, indeed certain members must do nothing else but walk around supermarkets looking for everything thats got any form of offer on it in order to clog this site up with them.

On top of that the same deals seem to get posted on multiple occassions, so yes id support getting rid of them or sticking them all in one section and then we might just be able to find decent offers easier than currently is possible as they get pushed down the pages very quickly

Have you tried messing about with custom settings to exclude 'groceries'?

Have a look at just the groceries before you log on, just in case there is an irresistible deal, then log on and groceries will be gone. Does that work?

It does seem, quite often, like wading through treacle.

No I agree with your idea, but for everything, play sales, hmv sales, toy sales, vouchers, everything.

I understand what the mods have said in the past, that in a huge generic post you can miss some really good deals and it pays to highlight certain items etc. But people on here do take it to extremes and literally spam every deal in the "sales" as a solo item, rather than listing the sale and highlighting the biggest bargains. Never used to bother me, but it's getting worse.

It used to be the case where Supermarkets had their own thread...............it didn't work and ended up being a non starter.
csimanbanned#11
worse still are the deals that use vouchers - now they should be spammed cos the voucher is already out there

Pretty much agree with what Chesso said but its not perfect especially if someone has gone to all the trouble of listing all the deals and then someon just lists the best deal from that supermarket.

Usually the deals that annoy people are the deals they aren't interested in BUT with every deal someone out there will be interested in it. The people interested in games aren't interested in groceries and vice versa.

Best bet is to use the filters to try and exclude the deals you're not interested in....

I buy food. On a fairly regular basis too... I prefer the individual item posts (Ben & Jerry's @ ASDA 2 for £3 for example) I hate the lists as the seperate deals just don't stand out...

Use the filters to customize your HUKD pages if you don't like some stuff.

I used to agree with the OP but now disagree. Its great to search for a store deals through temperature

it easy enough to exclude GROCERIES anyway if you dont like it.
