So true. But then, at least the description is more accurate. If they were banned, you'd know it was more serious and long term.

i think its a good idea.... i think 'banned' is harsh and worries ppl specially when using the FS forum...suspended sounds more apropriate?

Yup, I agree!

banned or suspended, will still get these posts asking how long, why? etc,etc
#7
or they could leave it as "banned" and change it to "banished" for a permanent ban? :-D

Banished - I like it!

Sassie, you'd still get the posts yes. But, it would be alot clearer to people. Banned looks permanent, whereas it may only be a 1 day suspension for something relatively minor. Also agreeing with tazandsaz's post.

but it could also be a 1 month one, maybe sticking how long a ban is would be helpful, although then we would get posts like "when where they banned" - lol

Very true. All would be "solved" with the reintroduction of the page that listed who was banned/suspended and why. Until then, it's just not going to happen is it.

So many suggestions or comments have been made for the site on here over the past few months. From improvements and good ideas, to simple "when are you going to fix this". Little things like thread subsciptions and thread menu previews when you hover still haven't been implemented, and we still have the white space at the bottom of the menus.

Banished and suspended instead of banned at this rate is years away.

I agree with this. :) I also think that it would cut down on the "Why has xxx been banned threads?" threads. Yes you would still get some, but it's far less 'shocking' to see that someone you know/someone you are trading with has been suspended, than it is to see they have been 'banned'. At least you know they will be coming back at some point, rather than not knowing if they are gone for good.

Unless it was a very easy change like "1 day ban" or whatever instead of just "banned", which would help for:

Can't we just ban the people who ask why X has been banned or is that harsh? :-D

Just put it in some small print some where, should be a laugh. It will be like a never-ending circle of banishment.
