Nay it's easier just to ignore the duplication

easier if everyone just clicked on the spam button. dupe posters would soon get fed up with their posts disappearing lol

No, its a bad idea, the day the site starts punishing people for trying to contribute would be a very bad day.
#4

They don't seem to though.

While I agree with the point made about punishing contributions... I'm not sure what contribution is made when certain posts are spammed quite so much.

I've seen non-descript random deals when out and about, only to find they have already been posted. I can't quite get into the mindset of someone who thinks they will be the first to say Woolies might have a sale on.

I'm not saying this system should be used for every dupe - just the (few) that become targets for spammed and dupage.

I'd support you 100% if the seach function was better.....

I've searched on quite a few deals I've posted without finding any dupes only for someone to point out where it has been duplicated....unless there is an easier way to identify dupes then theres no point in punishing people.

See Paul's second post here. Might not be an issue any more...

What's next?

Infractions for bad grammar? :?

Major thumbsdown from me.

I read that, and posted, but today has been a bad day in terms of dupes - at least from what I've seen? Busy for the mods?

I hope it'll stop it, but if people are incapable of searching, are they capable of entering URLs correctly?

Well if they want the deal to link to the site they will have to surely?
