It was getting a little out of control guys and at a certain point those threads just clog up the forum for people trying to move on and get other deals. It had it's day (or quite a few actually) in the sun.

I am not sure we have heard the last of this fiasco though.I am sure someone in sainsbury's was aware of the web debate on various sites & was asigned to check them out.I am sure they watched it very closely indeed.

I didn't think they were obliged to. I've contacted them asking them to close my account anyway, as i can't see any way to remove my details from their system.

Also admin, do you think it's worth posting a link to this thread in the old thread so people know where they can carry on the discussion?

What gets my back up is the lies they have told. I was told no orders would get through after mine & yet some still do. i am talking about orders from the store in my area specifically.thats double standards & does not equate to equality in any shape or form.

Found you all. Morning everyone. Checked my order status, still there for between 12 & 1 today, not really expecting it though.
Looks like loads in my area have been cancelled as there are now delivery slots for most of Sat, Sun & Monday.

Accept the inevitable and just take the £12 voucher they are offering but reduce your order to the minimum £25 and still take up their precious delivery slot!!

just been looking through this thread, and yes I have ordered with a delivery slot between 12 and 1.

I am sure that the confirmation email they sent is a 'confirmation of acceptance' and as such if they are not delivering the order they are in breach of the law. (just checking this on the web)

I am now waiting to see if mine gets delivered or to see if I get a phone call regarding this

Acceptance

With the online business process being automated there may be confusion as to when an offer is accepted. The basic rule is that for acceptance to be effective it must be communicated. However, as the law currently stands it is not clear when an online acceptance is communicated. For example, if the seller processes the customer's order through the website, but acceptance is made by email, is it communicated when the seller presses the 'send' button, when it leaves the seller's email system, when it leaves the seller's ISP's mail server, when it hits the buyer's ISP's mail server, when it enters the buyer's email system or when the buyer reads it (or indeed any stage in between)? There are a number of initiatives which are intended to address this position – see our guide on EU and UK Regulations – but the safest course is to state, in the terms and conditions themselves, when acceptance will be deemed to have taken place.

just taken a look at my sainsburys account, my order between 12 and 1 still there, but checked my account and they have still not taken any money, not holding out much hope !!!!!!!!

Ive just checked my order and its still on there for delivery today 11-12.
Whether it will turn up I don't know but Ill let you guys know.

Same here but yesterday there was a guy on the other thread who was a half hour or so into his delivery slot, he checked his bank account, no money had been taken yet & he got his order.

Still living in hope, I received 2 missed calls from UNKNOWN yesterday but my order stabds and Ive got 55 mins left of my delivery slot. No money taken but I dont expect they take it until you have taken the goods from them. Thing is I have to shoot off at 11:45 so if they do attempt to bring it after that I'm gonna be gutted!

bad news guys. my order was due for delivery between 12-1 today and just come off the phone from a scottish man claiming to be from sainsburys asking me to make a decision as to whether to use one voucher or cancel my order. this was 1 hour before my delivery was due. i was annoyed and told him so but it was really annoying him too because i would not make the decision as to what to do. i kept telling him that i was expecting a delivery as per email confirmation. he told me that the email was not accpetance of order and that if i carried on then he would contact the store to tell them i had cancelled. i would not say i had cancelled or anything other than i was waiting for my order as per email confirmation. in the end i said i did not know that he was from sainsburys, how could i trust sainsburys when they don't know who is putting out codes that work in their computer systems in the first place. he could of been joe bloggs. anyway i think he has now cancelled my order and i am not getting anything from them. time will tell. i told him after arguing my point (that one hour before delivery was unaccpetable) that someone was knocking at my door and it could be my sainsburys order. by the way, i did say too that i would expect the extra £10 compensation that they pay if an order is late. he was not amused. he said he had to contact 11,000 people.

Just spoken with Sainsburys call centre, and they informed me the order was being cancelled as I had used more than 1 voucher. I have challenged this as it does not state in T&C's that you can only use 1 voucher. They have now cancelled the order and I have passed this through to Trading Standards and emailed Sainsburys the following

:shock: Just checked my bank account, my balance is what it is. The amount available for withdrawal is £29.56 less than that, my Sainsburys order is £29.57 :shock: Still not getting my hopes up though lol, they'll probably still cotton on.

I know that it is a crazy discount but I placed an order, they accepted it, its still on the websitte, and even if my missed calls yesterday was them, they didn't leave a message or a number or any sign that it was them. Therefore, I have had no contact by phone or email to say my order has been cancelled.

So if its not here Im getting a late voucher!

yeah, saw that. But since some missed calls yesterday that i couldnt ring back as there was no number, I haven't heard from them since and theres only 15 mins of my slot left.
