I'd like to see expired deals automatically taken out of the deals forum. There are just too many IMO and they clutter up the place. First thing this morning there were 7 on the hot tab, the one people see when they first log on. That can't be a good impression to give ?

Could there not be a sub forum where they could still be accessed or reinstated if needbe ?

There is, it's a feature of the new site.

Under the "SUBMIT!" button there's a load of small text links called View Options, where the "Text Only" view option is. This one is "Exclude Expired". You can toggle it on/off...

And, as for the thread as a whole, it's probably most effective if you report the deal post with "Expire", or "Unexpire" or "Self Promotion" or whatever relevant thing in the reason box.

As duckmagicuk2 notes you can hit 'exclude expired' so that they won't show up anywhere. We had this as default first but then people were confused why stuff disappeared.

As for original topic - we've played with the rep and you should be able to expire quicker now so please just ask others to do so in the thread. Will save asking a mod and let people know that they have the ability to do so!

Can see both sides really which is why I thought it might be nice to have a viewable place for expired rather than have them dotted all over.

My point was anyone coming to the site for the first time will see loads of expired (possibly) and that's a first impression

You mean report it as a "bad" post but put "expire" in the reason/explanation? Good idea Ducks
