LISTING A TRADE, SALE OR REQUEST

(3) All sales must be listed and completed fully on the HUKD FS/FT forum. NO eBay, auction, classified or external links to an item listed elsewhere. You must not have the same item for sale or trade elsewhere online whilst listed here

i would imagine so, it seems it is ok

I'd have thought if you were doing so it should at very least be explicitly stated in the thread - the problem is if you are listing something here it should be available to buy (so if someone puts in an offer at asking price they seller can't then pull out an say 'sorry, sold elsewhere'). Personally I think the rule is you shouldn't be allowed to - if its being sold on HUKD it should only be sold on HUKD (although obviously you can stop the sale and sell elsewhere) but its not really enforceable as who would know if you are selling offline...

I have seen mods okay offline sales. All you have to do is say it wasn't advertised, and say it was to a friend.
The same as you now need to say you own something, and not that it is on behalf of a friend ;-)

I don't think it is right, but as you don't have to sell to the first person who offers the asking price, or anyone at all, it is kind of understandable.

For a free system, I suppose we have to make do with the numerous "Quirks" that it throws up.

it seems so, maybe a mod would confirm either way

We have to make judgements on individual cases, but yes, the rule is based on listing it online elsewhere. Listing offline is not a problem, as far as I am aware.
