maybe hukd should change rules - no selling unless been a member for at least 6 months

I've dealt with this user before. Good comms as far as buying was concerned. Give her time.

Moderators would rather you deal with the subject in pm rather then bumping the threads.

And without going round the same issues again, buyers should requested details regarding the OP. I usually go on feedback regarding a user before I really be pushy about address/contact/name if buying if they don't want to give them out.

The mods can't do anything really when it comes to money being taken without goods being sent, nor more then you pming, they can only push the matter through pm and take action the account, so having the thread wouldn't be any better then pming.

Does seem rather strange that the thread was locked especially as the seller seemingly has more than one disgruntled buyer from a few threads.

surely potential scammers can't just get their threads locked when they are ignoring pm's?

JB probably went on the report given and didn't even check the subject matter above. Or it was locked by a mod for the reasons above..

i would suggest anyone that has problems with this seller, reports via the report button in opening post of said thread, whether locked or not, and ask a mod to deal

They have already, and it was mentioned 6 minutes before the thread was locked and ignored!

Anyway it wasn't specifically about that thread in question (just that was a recent one), more as to why any thread is locked at the OP's request, when others have taken the time to contribute. Sometimes there can be discussions going on with others in the thread and it's suddenly locked just because the OP didn't like the way it turned out.

The thread up there was closed by mistake sorry guys. I was in the middle of a block of closure requests and a member reported the thread. I closed it but it's now reopened.

The member in question has been emailed, did any buyers take secondary forms of contact or anything else?

Yes, now opened. However you can get immediate action by reporting the thread rather than making a public statement, or if you still feel the need - do both.

Thanks.

thanks, i didn't know that, of course the fact i've already stated it wasn't just about that thread, other members had reported her, another thread was already running in misc regarding the member and a mod had already commented on the thread in question might have made me think the mods were already aware of it
What was I supposed to say? A thread has been closed by a mod, please ignore JB and re-open it - I'm sure that would work :-D
