Sassie, I made a decision on the available information. If the member wants to dispute that, he can do so.

Sassie, he has already been on contact with admin using the contact us link, which is what people can do when they are banned.

ok, but was still wondering what should have been done, for future reference?

I don't understand what you are asking... the rules are quite clear.

(3) All sales must be listed and completed fully on the HUKD FS/FT forum. NO eBay, auction, classified or external links to an item listed elsewhere. You must not have the same item for sale or trade elsewhere online whilst listed here.

well im sure alot of people at some time have posted in a wanted thread here or elsewhere, does that then stop them posting their own thread ere with the item that was offered and refused elswhere

Once again, this is not a case of a black and white explanation, as with many situations on HUKD. As you know, we make decisions based on individual cases, using the rules as our guidelines.

yes i see that,, someone did near enough the same the other night, he had items listed in their own thread on avforums and then came here and offered them for sale on a wanted thread and said he would remove them from sale IF anyone wanted them, yet that was ok. Seems to me no different to what has just happened, except sparky forget to say at some stage he had offered to someone who was looking and they didnt want it

so sparky, next time remember to lsit where you have offered it

Personally, I don't see that as an issue - offering items on a wanted thread that you have listed elsewhere is almost the exact opposite of the case you were talking about in the OP. But that's my opinion, not the opinion of HUKD... :) Whether it needs to be covered in the rules would be up to admin I suppose.

no i cant, its called trust i suppose, but what i did ask that then turned into some kind of riddle was, what should the op have done before listing here?

I have had a quick luck, but i'm not too familiar with AV forums.
What it looks like on first look to me is that the Computer was offered to someone on AVforums, and hadn't been turned down.

It was also offered for sale here. What would've happened if asking price was agreed to in both forums?

If it was turned down on AVforums before offering here, then the offender(Alleged) was hard done by, but I can't see anything to suggest it was.

Just a small point, the only reason I mentioned in the thread that it was listed on AVForums is because this thread was still active until I expired it this morning...

I deliberately didn't report sparkygeezer as he is a trusted trader here and as such he had plenty of time to make clear in his posts on AV forums that it was now listed here.

yes, thanks, so as assumed then he should have posted in the av thread that it was no longer for sale. The other thread i was referring to was a member who offered some goods to someone on her and yet they where for sale elsewhere, and the op just said if any interest i will close them elswhere, surely that is the same thing, i know it is a hard job for the mods to make the call, it justs gets me when "it seems to me" some seem to get away with things that others dont, i see no difference between what sparky did and what the other person did, but then i suppose it isnt me that makes the call so i will now shut up:oops:

Or he could have pointed out on the AVForums wanted posting that is was now listed here - that would have taken no longer than those posts calling me a trouble maker and making excuses etc.. If you look through previous posts on both forums sparky is clearly aware that you are not allowed to list on both forums simultaneously and that you should wait at least a week after a thread is expired before reposting.

I don't let it get to me lol :) Just making it clear that he had plenty of opportunity to comply with the rules, I gave him a heads-up and he chose to ignore it...
