on your subscription list the threads you're following should go bold when a new comment is posted.

If you subscribe to a thread click the 'profile' button at the top just under your user name and you will be able to see it

Plus I think you can get a notification by email but that might be tedious unless you want to waft through lots of emails

It used to work, but now all your recent posts go bold for no apparently reason.

Some problems on here get fixed, after months, and then they get unfixed again.

Threads were posted promising to keep us informed, but we haven't been kept informed.
It's not important 'cos it's not like it's us that pays the wages here, is it?

Oh no, I got that bit wrong.

Seems like the owners want more features and enhancements done before they bother with putting things right that they broke when they introduced the new site, God, how many months ago was it, I would be ashamed if it was that many days ago that I still had bugs in the machine.

Still, each to their own, but I have spent much, much less since they messed up, than before.

me too - the revamp was great for my bank balance lol

Went to profiles and looked at subscribed threads.............says last one was over a year ago.!!

I get a lot of help from this site and like to help others out when I can. Becoming increasingly difficult to do so because more time consuming to follow anything.

Hi,

In order to track threads you've posted in, please click on your profile link, then select the Settings Tab.

You will find various options within, click on Subscriptions and you'll see 3 options.

http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/586/subscriptions.jpg

Do Not Subscribe: This option ensures that you have no tracking by default for threads you post in.
Notification email: An email will be sent to your recorded email address whenever a new post is made in a thread you've posted within.
No Email Notification:
You are automatically subscribed to threads you post in, but you receive no email alerting you to an update.

Of course you can individually subscribe to threads on demand by selecting the Subscribe option at the footer of each opening post. 2 Options are available from the selection above.

Jumpingphil highlights certain issues with thread subscriptions. If you're logged in on one machine and don't clear your cookies, then tracking works well, albeit that certain threads are still highlighted in your profile as 'Updated' even though you may have been the last poster.

Threads that appear within your profile subscriptions are sorted by latest post.

Any further issues, please do give us a shout.

Sorry but not clear. Got nothing to do with e mail notifications, don't want those.

Can I change my profile to just simply state, subscribe to all threads I post in ? Which is all I want.

Do I have to go into profile and subscribe for each thread I want to follow ?

OK now subscribed to all posts........

But that does not solve the problem. Even if I look at the subscriptions, it does not indicate which ones are dead, or recent activity. The only way I can do this is by going into each thread. And frankly, I can't be bothered.

Is there no way of highlighting recent activity in my threads?

Yep.

That works.

Simples, once you know...

Thank you
