You should learn where to start a thread if you want to be a moderator.

No money to be made from the trading forum, why pay someone to moderate it?

How is no selling over rrp gonna help? You can post a link if it's available cheaper elsewhere so people generally won't pay over rrp anyway.

I read somewhere that Admin doesn't care about the trading folder.

i know what your saying especially with the wii's at the mo but then again its a sellers market at the moment sellers of this particular item know they can get more for it elsewhere, so why not offer it here for the same price they could get at ebay or cex etc
im just glad we got our wii a few months ago we did get ours from ebay thou cost us £200 but i didnt mind because we were impatient

tbh if someone wanted to give me near on £300 for it and then after xmas knew i could buy another for £179 then i would do it i just cant be asked with the hassel lol

you can 'make a difference' without becoming a mod, all users can report a post if you see anything suspicious.

Just an observation here (and I have seen that there have been other threads on this before) but don't you think that there should be a full time mod for the trading forum?

Not only this, but as mentioned in one of the threads I personally think that there should be a rule that states no selling of items over RRP. I use other forums who run this rule and to be honest there is a lot less scamming and fraud because of it, not to mention that you tend to get a better trading experience on them due to the less greedy nature of the forumites because of this rule.

I read somewhere that Admin doesn't care about the trading folder. Whether or not this is true, as a forumite who uses the trading folder here, I care, and would like to see some kind of mod / rule put in place. I;d even put my own name forward for the mod role if I thought it would make a difference.

Rayman spends alomost all of his time moderating the for sale forum.....

Plenty of the forums I frequent use "volunteer" mods. I just assumed that it was the same here.

It would have been a better idea to post this in the continuing discussion in the comments thread rather than start another one.

Are you volunteering then???

Why not? Although I am sure the current mods would have something to say about that! :) LOL
