Then you should construct your opening post a little better, as it should now be expired now I have answered the question you posed that you already know the answer to.

Here you go:

III. Trolling, Trolls:

* Trolls are people who for no reason want to disrupt a forum topic by constantly posting out of context posts, derogatory comments, throwing insults, making personal attacks and deliberately inciting a negative response from other members. This is called trolling; in public forums and won't be tolerated here.
* Users or groups of users who continue to attack other members because of their views and opinions, attempting to beat them down or demean them, will have posts deleted and may be banned.

Your "location" leads me to believe you have "Issues", so I will leave this thread for you to get it off your chest. :)

Issues...only as in the rules are not followed by the mods of the site
Admin said something the other night quite telling - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/347049/hukd-lost-its-feel-good-factor/showpost.php?p=4489806&postcount=12

HOWEVER seems to go against his rules...that people causing the problems will be punished. Rules should maybe state EVERYONE will be punished?

Having read the thread that you linked to, it seems Admin was saying that it's not "allowed", but if you get caught, they aren't going to spend their time chasing through other threads to find the provocation for it.

So, for example:

Lets say I call "susey*" a plonker in a thread. He doesn't report it, and then a week later "susey*" calls me a "plonker" in an unrelated thread, and I report it.

A moderator dealing with my report my determine that "susey*" needs suspending.

When "susey*" returns after his suspension, he PM's the mod that suspended him about me calling him a "plonker" a week ago. The mod is less likely to suspend me, not because I shouldn't have done it, but because it was a while ago, and "susey*" should have reported it, and not retaliated.

This doesn't mean that they condone what I did, just that it's not worth the hassle of dissecting arguments that have been running for months.

*any similarities with any member on HUKD is coincidental

Reported your post for purposely wrongly expiring the thread.

ok...makes sense

but what if a member is continually trolling & baiting you. You have reported numerous times, PM'd them and others have already reported...even before you have said anything.

then the mods wait for an hour say...and suspend both, even if one has done nothing

Fair?

Are you saying that members are being suspended without responding to their "perceived agitators" comments? If so, then "No", it isn't fair.

Use the "Ignore" function, it may not stop them, but at least it lessens the likelihood of you losing your composure and being suspended.

Yes but Saint wouldnt you agree that if thats going on it is trolling and therefore under HUKD rules should be dealt with appropriately? i know what your saying but the real question is why shouldnt someone respond? especially when its an attaack of a personal nature rather than just an online appearance if you follow?

Now as far as I remember me and you have had our rows but I dont think either of us have said anything of a personal nature...

guv
LOL.... so basically you report everyone to "get in first"? Report you for real or it goes nowhere?

How about just getting a life and let the real mods do their jobs without wannabe assistance? (seriously)
