It depends on which forum the comments are in as to the reason for deletion. Deal thread can have posts deleted that are off topic & not connected to the deal or are misc in nature.

FS/T forums will have posts deleted if they are classed as thread spoiling.

Feedback comments should only be related to the specific issue being raised in the feedback thread - no off topic misc type comments or humour.

We tidy lots of threads - if comments are removed & reposted then we will review with regards to infractions for spamming a thread. If the comments relate to a specific code of conduct rule breach then the necessary action will be taken. But we review hundreds of threads each day & cannot PM every member for each deleted comment as it wouldn't be practical.

But only MODs & Admin can delete posts, so if a post is deleted members would be strongly advised against reposting as it would have been deleted for a specific reason.

Thanks.

Interesting regarding the feedback stuff... should i go through and report every single one of the hundreds of currently misc-type/humour posts on here, or can i leave that one with the mods?

Vibeone, You got the benefit of the doubt, not only was the comment spoiling, it was really very unfunny. It's feedback and you posted something completely meaningless. We're trying to highlight a new feature to make fs/ft feedback and current trading activities a little more visible and user friendly, building on some of the suggestions made to date.

If you have nothing constructive to add, please refrain from further comments.

No, I did notice the location earlier, however it was extra long but truncated so that it was still meaningful. Nothing personal, but we'll continue to trim where we see appropriate to do so. Perhaps the location field will change since it's long lost it's original purpose, but we'll let you all know.

Hang on, I might be missing something here, but did ScottishBloke really just diss my humour?!?!?!

(this might be a topic for misc - let me know that your OK with it asb, wouldn't want me getting banned!)

OP Request: Thread moved to misc, and renamed 'Is ASB the right man for the job of comedy critic" please?

** Mod Edit: Request denied. Thread answered and subsequently locked. You may (and no doubt will) start a thread in misc regarding another failed attempt at humour.
