Was there a reason for no page numbers at top of thread?

  I've got used to the changes, they've grown on me but it's ridiculous to not be able to jump to the last page at the top of the thread.

  That was chapter 7, numbers at top is chapter 22.

  I think the new new site wont have pages at all. My guess is that it will be one long infinitely scrollable page like eurogamer (with dynamic loading).
  
  The page numbers at the bottom are for the few with javascript off and to allow the search engine robots to navigate the site.

  
  
  Well they can remove them when they get rid of pages, until then there's no excuse.
