It's up to the person who posts the deal whether or not they direct link to the product. (Or some supermarkets might not allow hotlinking to a product)
I always found that supermarket URLs were very awkward... usually session-specific.
Wondering if this is to do with the Sainsburys deal I posted?

I agree the Sainsburys website is entirely pointless when combined with the in store deal.

However, when someone posted the Medion laptop deal, then linked to some product info from theregister.co.uk and got some abuse for doing so.

If anyone has a better idea than the homepage - feel free to let everyone know :)
