If the site wasn't already listed, its not surprising it was pulled, many people try to promote their own sites here and so the moderators always are cautious of new sites. If the site was comparable to play it would already be listed here. The mods are very busy dealing with all sorts of things and you come across as quite confrontational here to emma, which does not look good :(

If you are waiting for a ruling from Emma why are you posting this ??
Not going to do your cause much good is it ?

At the end of the day what the Mods judge as a ebay seller is up to them. They work very hard to make this site as safe to use for everyone as possible. As Jah128 has already said they need to take extra care with new sites and with the situation that occured with musthave100.com it really is in the best interest of everyone.

Were all members and the site wouldn't be here without us. To the OP - if you are geniune, don't get too upset at having the deal pulled, its frustrating when it happens but there are countless examples of other people with stories just like yours who complain lots then end up being self-promoters. Keep hunting :)

So what does this mean then?

Deal Anarchy

The new tagline for HUKD is "Deal anarchy from the masses". It's not necessarily a permanent tagline but it's something we threw in there for now. We think HUKD disrupts traditional marketing messages and offers a disruptive network where individuals have the freedom to recommend genuine bargains and deals to other individuals.

The foundation of this deal anarchy is our belief that consumers want an honest, unbiased and free tool to exchange information and tips. This means that self-promotion of any kind, whether from members or merchants, is strongly discouraged.

To be clear though, we do not believe that consumers have a right to act fraudulently and any illegal or fraudulent information will be removed. However, information that is legal and in public domain will not be censored or removed - we will defend that right to the end.

"emmajk42 replied then telling me that because the site also happens to have an ebay account (who doesnt'?!) and occassionally sells on ebay that they are actually an ebay based seller and the rules stipulate that ebay based sellers cannot be posted here."

Big Red Warehouse is an ebay based seller but appear on HUKD quite a bit and I'm sure there are many others too!

Primarily an eBay based business site rely quite a lot on their eBay feedback rather than the other way round. Play.Com is a well established business in its own right, who then have gone on to trade on eBay.
The website that Emma moved from the forums only appears to have 41 items listed for sale on it and on eBay it has 128, therefore it looks most definitely eBay based?

You know the mods do an excellent job on this site because I haven't even had to see this spam hit the pages.

There seems to be a fairly certain trend to spot self-promo these days. (1) unknown/new site (2) new poster (3) long complaints to mods (4) thread in feedback complaining about censorship and unfair rules (5) emails/posts from the "MD" after his customer emails him wondering why his company is being pulled from HUKD.

In this case yeah the fact that the site is a one man band eBay shop is a pretty good reason to throw up a lot of red flags. That it seems to be heavily promoted on various forums and sites by newbie users throws up a few more. A few checks on your info shows we're not the first forum you've posted on.

Not to be a jerk but this all gets a bit boring after a while. If you actually want to get out there and make a successful business - great - go and do it. If you have a good product, good service, good prices then someone will legitimately start recommending you in time.

Moved to feedback, as this is a HUKD issue ^^ and admin has said it all there really.
