heat is in deals, the arrows at the top, you hit red to make it a hot deal, and cold to make it cold, or middle if you dont know either way - lol

rep is like a thanks button, its the grey scales next to a person username, hit it and you can either leave balnk and nobody will know who it is off, or leave a message and your name

Doh! I am a registered user but only bother to login if I need to actually post something. So I never saw all those blue and red buttons and scales whatever.

I did actually login to post this question about "what does it all mean", which now shows me the buttons! Lol I have been so confused. Thanks all.
i always wondered bowt the rep thing and now i know.
I think the "warm" button needs to be highlighted / illustrated a bit more as I think a lot of members don't even know it exists. I mean of course you can see it but it's not 100% obvious what it is.

Before the site was redesigned a couple of years ago, a lot of people used to mention that they'd voted warm on a deal whereas these days it seems to have become very rare. I even thought it had been removed myself initially!

Also regarding rep, how many points do you need to gain each dot? The orange dots seem to be achieved after each rep 100 points but the red dots seems to require more points though I'm not sure how many?
