HI

checking further it was spammed as a purchase is required to enter the competition and if you win you are then required to submit the original receipt as proof of purchase, so it doesn't appear to be free to enter unfortunately

To enter, purchase a Dolmio Recipe Base Spaghetti Bolognese (170g), Carbonara (170g), Chicken Casserole (170g) or Sausage Casserole (170g) product from a participating Asda store between 9th June and 4th September 2014. Entrants should then visit http://www.ASDA.com/win and complete their personal details (name, address, contact telephone number and email address) in the on-line entry form located at the Dolmio promotion page. The Asda till receipt confirming the Dolmio Recipe Base purchase should be retained, as winners will be required to submit this as proof of purchase.

Surely the user should've been sent a pm explaining this then, if proper site procedures were being followed.

If a thread is removed by a member of the MOD team then members should receive a PM explaining the reason for removal. However threads can also be member spammed and there was some discussion in your thread about the purchase requirement prior to it being member spammed, thanks

I have not received any PM at all. I know the purchase requirement and i was well mentioned in my description but this is not the way to remove someone's post without notifying them is a totally disregard to the member's time and effort put into this and this is not the first time happened to me. I think a Helper Pjj1805 (normally normally deleted my previous deals even extracted details from deal my deal and unexpire his deals then deleted mine) might have deleted this.

Thanks for understanding. I know post gets deleted for many reason but they should al least let the user know.

Mods, given the frequency of these threads following legitimate marking of deals as spam by the community can't the devs send an auto-generated PM to the OP?

If it was member spammed then you wouldn't have received a PM.
Like Sigma said if it was staff spammed you would have received a PM from the member of staff giving the reason for removal etc.
I would assume as you didn't get a PM that it was spammed by the community rather than staff.

To be honest as what's been said in the thread, if it's been member spammed then you won't have received a pm, but a better system being in place that if it has been member spammed that this flags up to mods/admin, and they can decide if it is "spam" then if so, contact the members involved, all goes back to being a flawed site.

I couldn't agree with you more. Spot on. Good suggestion. Thanks

No worries mate, it's always the high contributors of the site that suffer on here.
