There was people profiteering short time back where they were selling discs broken up from multi packs. The mods caught them out and decided to put a stop to it and have now band disc only sales without the original packaging.

I have queried this with ASB via Private msg as I think a few people are being stung because of some people being selfish. This includes a loophole with items such as N64/Snes/Megadrive etc games, most people sell them without packaging due to there age etc. I think if anything should happen with regards to banning disc only, it should only be in regards to DVD/Blu-ray as these clearly are the ones at the centre of the problem. Disc only with regards to games, usually when people are trying to sell bundled copies they are labelled that way, so get rejected under the rules. Where as people who have lost certain packaging wouldn't be punished.

Regarding Disc only sales of DVD's they could be caught out asking them for proof of purchase and also via the main offenders (Disney discs) being colour coded in multi packs. I hope the mods look at this with a sensible mind.

I definetly think Trade should be allowed for these items as no money is being exchanged, though with the RRP rule I can understand why ASB's hands are tied on this.

EDIT: ASB repsonded saying he would look into this further. (Thanks)

Definitely can't see a problem with a like-for-like trade.

I've got some duplicate Blu-Ray slipcovers I want to trade for ones that I'm missing, but can't as it's an incomplete item/no RRP. What's the difference between a Console game with no instruction manual, and a Blu-Ray with no sleeve - I've seen loads of those for sale on here?

I think this rule needs looking at (well... most of them do lol), as it seems a bit odd imo.

You have only those looking to profiteer to blame, I have a disc only I want rid of which was given in a sale, but can't sell currently I decided not to before the rule came in because of what I could see happening.

ASB has said he will look into this later. I can see him making sensible changes.

nonsense over reaction to one thread (not the first time that has happened) that wasn't thought through properly and is full of holes. Why are psp games. dsi games etc allowed to be sold without their cases and original packaging?

here's another feedback thread "discussing" it, http://www.hotukdeals.com/feedback/question-concerning-new-trading-rul/822297?page=2
