so, its not?

Yea i agree , ive suggested in the past that if seller doesnt put pics up within the hour the thread should be locked and them have to wait 7 days to relist. I think if we had that rule most would have pics before they lsited
#5
I agree, it doesn't take any extra time to have pics ready to post. Very frustrating when you're waiting :)
banned#6
they do it for the same reasons as they post bumps and delete them, the same reasons they dont multi quote, the same reasons as they post one pic per post, etc,etc
#7
What about having the first post automatically reserved, for pictures and updates, and then any requesting for pictures by any member counts automatically as a bump?
#8
You buy at your own risk if no pics. Simple.

that thread has 2 pics in, both of which are considered bumps so only 1 bump left in it.

A lot of sellers say pics to follow...your still waiting 2 hrs later...then they get bumped up to the top of the page with people asking for pictures :x eventually the seller appears with apologies...sorry school run.... had to get tea ready....just watching home & away.... :whistling: So why put the wording on if your not ready!!!

agreed they should put in place a method that stops you listing until a picture is attached to the listing
#12
Thanks mods, please can comments be kept on topic without the usual trolling.

agree, simple to implement.
If you have an item to sell, prepare a pic before listing it (as on Ebay)
#14
I dont think it should be necessary. Haven't you made a thread about this before?
#15
I thought this was being implemented(or at least under consideration)..ASB posted something a few months ago

Like the idea of the thread being closed if no pics are posted within the first hour, would save a lot of nonsense

yes I have, and its still a good idea.
A troll pointed this out earlier, I even put the fact that its been raised before in the opening post.
#18
I like a thread with a pic.
#19
the upload picture should be a compulsory field, so without it, a fs thread cannot be submitted.

simplez.

then the member at that point should be warned / infracted and be banned from selling on here once again pretty simple

Very good idea and relatively simple to impliment, or at least iimagine it would be

its only a few lines of code i'm pretty certain the site wont crash over it

would stop a lot of the "hit and run" scammers who pray on newbies as well as they never have a real picture of their fictional goods

That's true... and as much I hate taking photos of bog standard game boxes and uploading them, anything to stop the repeat scamming of newbies has to be a good thing!

Yep when I've done big sales before I've made an image or found one saying 'Sale'. Requirement for it foiled, what do I hear people saying? Use the report button? Well that is the same as now really, or you asking for photos and using one of their bumps possibly if it is obvious the item would require a photo.
But still won't sort out the hit and run scammers.

(5) Please Post Images (click for details) including a piece of paper with your user name and date next to the actual items for sale. This helps your sale or trade by showing the condition, establishing validity and also that you have the items in your possession. If you post an eBay image or are unable to post any images, we may pull the listing immediately to request further information.

So surely if we report these threads they will get pulled and people will soon get the message

Nope it is not a requirement, merely a kind request to add an image, as not all items will require a photo. I've sold loads of items with no photos. Also the photos I generally take don't include my username or date either.
