Did you search for the deal first?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbox-one-rocket-league-7-99-7-59-with-5-code-cdkeys-2735562
I think if yours was 20p cheaper they'd rather edit the original post.

So how much cheaper does it have to be before you're allowed to create a new deal?

I did search and also saw that deal, but mine was cheaper but clearly not cheap enough, others must have thought so as my deal went hot.

That other deal hasn't been edited to reflect the change in price...

Hi - those CD Keys prices fluctuate a fair amount. I think for a repost it'd need to be more than the 20p or we'd be looking at many reposts. Your thread was removed as you reported it but obviously it was for the opposite reason. I'll check out the existing thread price in a sec.

How much more than 20p then, 21p acceptable is it? Please don't try and wheel out the "deal by deal basis" cop out excuse. Let's try specifics for once.

I also don't know what you mean that I reported it??

You really don't make it easy or encouraging to post deals on here. Or is that the idea, you'd rather just a regular few would post deals?

We'll look at the original deal price, the increase, the age of the original thread and also how active the thread is. It doesn't make sense to just start a new thread each time a price drops unless its significant enough. I don't want to put any amounts out there because it'll depend on the thread but I don't think 20p on this £10 deal is necessarily significant.

Consider the opposite, CD Keys drops prices on low value deals like yours overnight and the site is awash with these reposts. Either way, members won't be happy.

If you've got some suggestions i'd be happy to hear them.

So who actually complained then? Because my deal went hot and nobody seemed to post to complain in the deal. Just seems another example of you turning an attempted positive contribution to the site being now turned into negativity and as I've said before, puts me off trying or wanting to contribute. Possibly what you want, just a select group of regulars only posting deals..

What I posted is a one day deal. So you might want to get your skates on and update the other deal. But at least some people saw my deal and hopefully benefited from the lower price...

Do you have examples of mass price drops from CD Keys and causing the site to be "awash with these reposts". As I stated, it's a daily deal. I've not seen an "awash" of CD Keys deals flooding the site...

Your last paragraph kind of proves what I was trying to say. CD Keys drop their prices often but usually by the amounts you posted for. We remove these after a review because the drop is negligible. If we allowed them the site would see many reposts.

This should not put you off contributing. If you want to ask about a particular thread the next time you want to share, feel free to drop me or any of the team a message and we'll let you know.

Including my deal, how many similar deals/reposts have your team had to delete this week then? I'm not seeing many or your team are very quick on the trigger.

Pointless asking your team, you won't respond in time and someone else will end up posting. Which ironically would probably end up not being deleted.
Just have clearer guidelines, rather than the vague case by case basis. You might have less reposts to deal with then and make everyone's lives easier... It would also remove the double standards that personally bring negativity and an increasing reluctance to try and post deals

Op why didn't you just post in the original thread that the price had dropped 20p? Small price changes are updated like this in many threads. The small price changes are usually due to currency fluctuations when the product originates in a different currency.

I've actually tried that with other deals in the past and they never got updated. The other thread in this case hadn't had a comment for nearly a week. So again wasn't sure it would get seen or even updated. Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

Whilst I appreciate deals, debating how best to record a 20p saving from an item costing around £7.50 is a little weird. I came to this conclusion after begrudgingly spending 2mins of my life reading and typing. A point has been made; the point is kinda dull; the contribution attempt is still appeciated and the next deal contribution will also be appreciated; now let's move on, cos I have.

Alas there is nothing I can do or help with regards to the lost 2 minutes of your life. You'd need to take that up with the person who forced you to read this thread and then force you to type a reply.

I would also suggest having a word with the sites admins though, your [MOD] tag appears to be missing after your username.

Wow. You cannot be serious?

Are you forgetting the hundreds of reposts that have barely dropped in price in recent time? Not a single one was removed. Or maybe it's just because of the poster on those occasions you allowed it to stay.

This exact thing happened to me last week regarding Shadow of Mordor GOTY, removed after like 6-8 hours and no explanation provided as to why, it was cheaper than previously posted by more than the 5% which I was previously told by a mod a deal had to be cheaper to allow for a repost, this is part of the reply I received from the admin team when I emailed them:The team have to use their discretion when removing a deal based on the price difference and when they feel the difference isn't a huge amount it will be removed. In this instance we feel the price wasn't greatly different.
Meaning it's based on the poster :p
That's probably the simple meaning of it, yes :D
