As title says why was this post

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/get-unlimited-music-for-3-months-for-1-with-deezer-1964549

acknowledged by a Mod as spam, With said Mod even stating in the post the duplicated item.....

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/3-months-unlimited-music-deezer-for-1-instead-9-99-per-month-voucher-cloud-1963876

The repost looks to me like the original deal, So why was it not removed?

Also the comment by the Mod has since been removed? It has confused me, so could we get some clarification from the Mod in question?

It was, however it looks like when it was spammed it was also activated from Q at the same time when we bumped. All sorted now. Ta :)

Are you surprised?

I've just came back on after a day away and found plenty of missed dupes from the last few days, the moderation on here needs some serious overhauling, but we all know this.

But it was stated in the actual thread that it was spam by the mod, So why was the comment removed with no action taken?

I can understand missed dupes, as we are used to them now, But this post was blatantly acknowledged by a mod, Who from my view seems to have taken into account the users comment along the lines stating the first post didn't have a lot of info in it.

No I agree, when dupes are pointed out mods tend to then copy the same deal link of the original (I don't know if that gets their work count up) then the thread vanishes, albeit most deals are slow to be removed if at all, before pointed out days later, there should be enough mods on here to moderate the site, if not enough helpers that do the work rate over and above their remit.

Totally agree, But this matter had been acknowledged by a Mod when the thread was posted, What surprised me is that the mod posted the link to the original in the thread to state a repost, Where as to my understanding and experience the thread would be deleted and a PM sent to the OP, 4 hours (roughly) later, I have checked the current status of the thread, It is still active and the Mods comment regarding the repost has vanished.

Comment under the Mod statement was from the OP who stated he appreciated that the post was a repost but the original did not include much information or ToC in the post.

4 hours doesn't surprise me tbh, but I've given up trying to cover the missed things, it's a waste of my time, others should follow suit and see just how much actually (doesn't) get done on here by the people who should.

Furthermore the latest one did surprise me that I seen the other day, whereby a dupe was posted (5 hours before the official 1 month rule) but was to remain up, and the mod in question deleted my comments of pointing this out, too many mods with too much power think they can get away with too much on here...

Ah yes deleting comments, That seems to be the new thing here as well, I have had a fair few of those deleted in the past couple of weeks, Only ever seems to be a couple of mods that do it, Its quite sad the the daily running of the site can be determined by who is actually 'working'

But as we are discussing comments that are unrelated to what the original post was about this thread will soon be cleaned up and in around 30 minutes time will simply show a half ar*** reply from Syzable and be locked.

Couldn't have put it better myself, that's if the mods in question don't delete any subsequent comments thereafter, it's worse than being back at school, although some of them would be better off back to learn some etiquette on how to run a site, rather than how to run it into the ground, the good thing is more and more users are starting to see this for themselves.
