Instant Karma :)

Yay! I'm going to enjoy this.

Remember, be merciful. Treat others how you'd like to be treated.

I can tell Admin is going to get loads of these!

Instant Karma is a John Lennon song by the way :)

And rightly so!

Well just remember that alot of the posts that are automatically generated under the Admin name from the front page are submitted by members, found in the forum, found by Rayman/fordy/duckmagic.

But thanks :)
#7
Just out of interest, would the member know who gave him/her good/bad karma?

lol Thanks
[admin]#8
No it doesn't trace who leaves it.

Good or bad thing?

Admin
Good or bad thing?
Good thing because it means a user can't purposely give said user a few negatives in return.

Bad thing because it means if one user dislikes another on the board, (s)he could "bad karma" each post every time the member posts:!:

Oh the humanity!!

I reckon there should be a limit on how many karma(s) u can give a day incase some drunken maniac comes in and messes around! lol
[admin]#11
There is a limit already, try leaving someone karma and then try again and you should get a message.

Really negative karma should only be used if someone is spamming. Other than that please give out positive karma when someone helps you out or makes a good post etc.
[admin]#12
Just to say also that if the negative karma gets abused I'll just take it off and simply leave positive karma.

I think that's inevitable but we'll give it a bit longer.

Looks like my... er... Karma is getting uhm... bigger. So, could please someone Klarify etiquette of Karming... Karmaring... Karmageddon... er.. using Karma button? http://netlab.e2k.ru/forum/html/emoticons/newest/hi.gif

You've earned your karma, if someone thinks you've helped them, given them useful information or HOT DEALS :) They give you karma. So if someone helps you out it's a nice way of saying thanks. Karma isn't tracked, so people don't know who leaves it [unless the tell them of course].

Negative Karma obviously works the otgher way round. If it's abused, it'll be removed at Admin's discretion.

So basically, you decide on how you use the Karma button.

:pirate: sorry can't tip the hat hehe

An update on karma!

Unfortunately due to some abuse of the negative karma, it has now been removed, however you can still leave positive karma where necessary!
