11 inch 128gb Macbook Air For Sale - One Week Old £920.00

I have a one week old 11 inch Macbook Air for sale with 128gb hard drive (ssd).

It was bought last Friday but I started a new job on Monday and was given a 13 inch Macbook Pro, hence why I'm selling the Air.

It is the standard top spec 11 inch:

11-inch : 128GB
1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
2GB memory
128GB flash storage
NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics

I realise you guys on here are all massive bargain hunters, which is why I'm selling it at £920, £100 off retail price, even though it's hardly been used at all.

Comes with all packaging and charger as well as OS X Recovery USB Stick.

I work in Farringdon so would be able to meet anyone within this area, otherwise I live in Hornchurch, Essex and would be able to deliver anywhere close by.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

I will upload photos once I get home from work at about 7.30pm.

Couldn't you just return where every you bought it as within return policy time frame and get all your money back?
#2
Plus if you want to sell it on here, think you would have to upload receipt as proof of purchase.

I bought it online and it's a hassle sending it back. It would be easier if I could just bring it to work with me and sell it for cash tbh.
#4
How much did you pay for it?

Heovang, that's all very well and good for higher education students, and if you are one then go for that price. However I'm not a student, and this is a deal for the thousands of other people that aren't students.

I realise I can return it within 14 days with no questions asked, I'm talking about the hassle of boxing it up and sending it back to Apple as you can't return it to a store if bought online.

I just thought I'd check here first if anybody's interested. If not, then I suppose that is what I'll have to do.

Because I thought knocking £100 off would be more appealing to people, hence I would receive the money sooner. Obviously not. I'll accept £1020 for it if that's what you'd rather pay?

And yes. I can post a receipt once I get home.

Oh my word... people, lighten up! He's trying to sell something for cheaper than RRP, because it's more convenient to the seller than sending it back. And any sale he makes means he gets instant money, whereas with Apple he would have to wait until they receive the product etc.

mate, its more hassle dealing with idiots and timewasters, not to mention the possibility of getting scammed with fake notes, people not turning up ect ect

much easier to deal with apple and just return it !

Good point usman. I think I may just do that. Waste of time trying to sell anything on here.

Its not a waste of time, its just that what you are saying doesn't add up! How is it hastle to box up a laptop and arrange a courier or take it to the P.O. to save yourself £100?

selling here or sending it back makes no difference coz at the end of the day you still need to box it up. lol

To be fair to the OP I wouldn't want the hassle of boxing up and sending the laptop back to Apple! It's much easier to sell on here and lose £100 because after all you don't have to box and send it... Oh wait hang on I'm missing something here *scratches head*... Hmmm.

You can see in the third image the macbook pro I received from work. Hence the reason why i don't need the Air anymore.

Oh also, for anyone who doesn't understand why I'm selling it on here because presumably I'd have to box it up and send it anyway, well you've misunderstood the point of me selling it here.

I was hoping somebody who works in London would want to buy this, then I could just meet them there as I work in London and would receive the money straight away.

I don't have the time to wait around for a courier to pick this up to take it back to Apple, so thought this would be the easiest way to regain most of my money back.
#23
You could get a courier to pick it up from your place of work, I would have thought you'd have a spare 5 minutes to pack it. If you don't have a spare 5 minutes to pack it, how can you afford probably around 15mins to meet someone in London?

Look, I would rather just sell in person. It's my prerogative. I've already explained that I will get the cash quicker this way and even if the courier could pick it up from my work, I've got to wait around all day for him and risk missing him as I work in quite a big place.

If you're suspicious about whether this laptop is stolen, because let's face it, that's what you're all thinking, I can assure you it isn't. If you check the warranty status of the laptop on the Apple website it will tell you that the warranty expires on 5th Jan 2012 proving it was bought last week.

I can give you my work email address and my telephone number and meet you in person. It's not like I'll just be able to disappear if there's a problem.

I've sold stuff on here before including an iphone without any probs whatsoever. I've been a member since 2007. I'm not gonna rip anyone off!

Take a look at my ebay feedback here.

I've sold a car and a holiday on there for Christ's sake.

Now, I would appreciate it if you would stop spoiling my thread. Thanks.

If you can provide proof of purchase (for warranty and ensuring compliance with profiteering/trader rules), we'll be happy to review.

Sell it on Ebay ! You can get your asking minus £40 Final Value Fees and around £36.80 fees

You just don't understand the point people trying to make, if you have time to explain on here, and have time to post pictures. Surely you can just bring the Macbook Air to the post office and ask them to give you one of those Special Delivery plastic bag and DONE ! 5-10 minutes job.

You are trying to get £920 cash for this, but people on HUKD knows the score with Apple HE discount and the Ebay fees situation.

Have you got a pic of the receipt to show that you paid £1020 ? As no one knows that you could get this for less or even for free from work and sell on ?
