Offer 70 to get you started :)

£83? as thats 70% which someone in due course will tell you is all they are worth haha....
#4
Why are they only worth 70%? Surely a £118 credit note is worth £118?
#5
Generally speaking they only fetch 70% of value when sold on here - smaller/lower values tend to be nearer to 65.

I'd go to £85, but would need you to post first. :)

Pretty much a 'guideline price' on hukd, and even on ebay really....

Mainly due to the fact cex items generally speaking are inflated over other shops!

For the sake of the rules, I received the following earlier today by PM

If you're £85 offer for the CEX voucher is still good then i can post it today?

I'm going to accept on the basis that the voucher is posted first (as per my original offer above) but wanted to make sure it was documented in the thread. :)

Cheers,

Help. This item was posted over a week ago and the buyer has not yet paid for it. I've tried contacting him on more than one occasion. Can anybody give me some advice as to what to do now?

Thanks

if i am not wrong the last time buyer posted anything, it was on this thread over a week ago so not good signs, £100 is a lot of money and really i really hope you get it sorted.

i feel for you mate, i saw another thread on here where seller posted his Nokia 6500 slide and never got the money, this is happening far too often now.

flashcurd, as the other member has not been registered as logged in to HUKD since 08-06-2009, can I please ask you to report the matter to HUKD Admin via the 'Contact Us' link & they will be able to advise you accordingly.

We cannot emphasis enough the importance of following the buyer feedback guidelines & collecting & verifying buyer / seller information prior to the exchange of funds & also looking at a members existing feedback before choosing to send items in advance of payment. Leaving honest feedback will also help build up a genuine traders profile on HUKD.

Did you get his details?
#17
Post his address! Someone will go round and 'persuade' him to pay up :)
#18
Yes, the item was posted first in good faith because i don't have much reputation on here. Last time I do that.
#19
Did you get his address and also telephone number etc?:)!

he posted on to his address

I think people should refrain from creating a linch mob until we know what has happened to the member, may be something has happened to him/her.
#23
If you posted recorded, have proof of delivery, and also have his address - i'd wait a few more days then post it here for us all to send hate mail ;)

hmmm has anyone read his last feedback? dont really get a) why he wouldnt send a £4 dvd to someone on this thread:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410225
and b) why someone with 15 positive feedback would suddenly do this (granted a free £118 sounds nice, but OP has his address so likely to be not-so-free!)

Give him another couple of days and if worst comes to worst send a letter to the address you sent it to outlining action you will take if contacts not made!!
#25
Contact the police, this tool has scammed a few people.
#26
I cant believe this. What an absoloute t**t if he has scammed him out of a voucher for £118. Its a shame CEX dont have telephone numbers as you could call the sotres around his area. However I think he may register another forum and try and sell it. I will be keeping my eyes open for you mate.

I really donr't understand some people. All in good faith and you get screwed.

If he is not back on mate then post his address on here, where about in the UK does he live.

IM FUMING and its got nothing to do with me, however I hate p***ks that do this sort of thing.

**Rant over

Although, if you have the voucher number still, im sure you could go into your cex with your membership card and have it cancelled (well i think).. worth a try..
#28
It's a shame nobody gets paid by HUKD. I was trying to think about what possible alternatives there could be to the 'post first' system for new sellers as it seems to be very risky for them and cases like this will just put new members off using HUKD. Fair enough though, these people do need to do more to ensure their own security, like getting details etc.... It's just a shame there isn't a trusted member on the site who could act as an intermediary, taking initial delivery of the item - confirming to buyer they have it - buyer pays - intermediary forwards it on. I suppose it would all get too costly though with the postage. Shame, hope you get it resolved OP.
#29
I'd have thought there should be a middleman 'mod' type person who is confirmed 'safe'
#30
ive been ripped off on here too, it sucks.........mine was only for £15, i would be going nuts if it was for £118

Works fine when the user is trusted. Guys got low feedback as well 15 which isn't really a lot. Posting first I'd want the user to have well over 50.
#32
Sorry to pull up an old thread but I'm curious- did this ever get resolved? I felt really bad for the seller and I hope they've managed to get it sorted out?
#33
Post the address
#34
gesh if that happened to me i go straight to the guys house dont care how far away he lives. i also make him pay the fuel and that.

same here, i would post his address
have you not tried phoning the police, see what they say?
obviously not 999 but you must be able to do something about it if you have his address
good luck!
#36
dose he live anywhere near southampton? I can pop round and see what he says about it. If ya like. £20 says his either a kid or a fag student

This is discusting ... I'm sorry to hear you got ripped off :(. People like this ruin it for others on UKHD who are genuine.

hahaah briliant, i feel bad for you the guys obviously done a runner, i would drive to his house and make him pay no matter wher it was
#39
No, unfortunately this hasn't been sorted yet. I've been away for a while and been very busy with a house move. Is it really standard procedure to post their address in this situation?

What area is it?
