12gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM (HDDs sold!) £50.00

reddragon105reddragon105

Got a few spare computer bits and pieces for sale -

2tb USB 3.0 Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 3.5" External Hard Drive - £79.99
I bought two of these from Maplin when they had them on offer last month to archive some of my video editing projects. Turned out I didn't need that much space, so one is up for sale - it's still sealed and with receipt. Just looking to get my money back on this - could return it to store but thought someone who missed the offer might want to take advantage.

500gb Samsung Spinpoint M7 HM500JI 500gb 2.5" SATA II Hard Drive
(x2) - £40
These were my external storage/backup before I got the 2tb drive. Have been kept on my desk and used in an external SATA dock, so well looked after. Manufacture dates are January 2011 and February 2011 so should still be under warranty until Jan/Feb 2013.

12gb (6x 2gb) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 SD RAM - £60
6 sticks of 2gb each, 1333mhz, 9-9-9-24, can be used in Dual or Triple Channel. Bought about 18 months ago, kept cool and never overclocked. Only selling due to upgrade to 16gb (4x 4gb because my new motherboard only has 4 slots).

Any of this can be collected from London, or posted at cost.

Forgot to mention about the 500gb HDs - they have both been thoroughly tested and passed SMART checks as well as full read/write tests in HD Tune, with no errors and no bad sectors.

And for collection, I'm in SE15, but would be willing to meet up somewhere more central.

WHAT A NICE PERSON, OFFERING TO HELP A FELLOW HUKD MEMBER WHO MISSED THE OFFER ON 2TB FROM MAPLIN.

Shame there isn't a respect button!

Hi OP, I'm interested in the 2xSamsung Spinpoint M7 HM500JI 500gb 2.5" SATA II HDDs that you have - would you consider an offer of £70.00p for the pair of them but also in which area of London are you located, as I'm reliant upon using the Underground for getting around London (happy to meet-up in Zone One if it's easier for you).

Finally have you carried out any testing of the HDDs via the CrystalDiskInfo and HD Tune Pro utilities (i.e. general SMART health status, error scanning of the HDDs, etc) & if so please can you upload the results, so I can make sure they are healthy (would need that clarification before fully committing to purchasing them). Cheers

Definitely has the receipt. Was bought online but you could probably take it into a store to have it replaced if there's a problem with it, otherwise I'd be happy to take it back and deal with that myself. So that's sold if you still want it - do you need postage or are you in London? It weighs 1.4kg, so I think the cheapest will be Royal Mail Standard Parcels at around £6.

Hi - yes, I'd accept that, so they're sold if you still want them.
I live in SE15, Nunhead/Peckham area, a short National Rail journey out of Victoria or London Bridge, or near to New Cross Gate which is the closest TFL station. But I'd be willing to meet you somewhere more central if required.
And they have passed thorough testing in HD Tune - passed SMART checks, no read/write errors or bad sectors.

Not if ronak47 takes it, but you can have next refusal on it if he doesn't.

Thanks for the update OP - I'm happy to take them two off of you for £70. I've received your PM but unfortunately I'm not free today to meet-up, as I'm booked up just now. Would you be free during the weekend or early next week at all, to meet up within Zone One of the Underground?

I'll PM you my contact number shortly, so we can get something organised. Cheers
    :D

EDIT: PM sent and I'll phone you tomorrow, if acceptable, to get a date & time organised along with a location. Cheers

Now does anyone want the RAM?!

Your choice of course, but I think it's impolite to start a negotiation with me, then ignore me and sell to another. It would have been nice to give me first refusal.

Apologies, but I always thought the general rule on this site was to give offers closer to the asking price precedent over earlier offers, and it didn't look like you were going to pay £30 + p+p. There were some other low offers as well, and I didn't take the time to say 'No' to each of them because I thought that would be implied by Scotty Boy making me an offer closer to my asking price and me accepting it.

Anyway, all HDs have been paid for and collected - so consider this bump 1 for the RAM.

Update: Right OP, I've got a bit of a problem here with both of the Samsung Spinpoint M7 HM500JI HDDs; basically the CrystalDiskInfo utility is reporting them as being good BUT the HD Tune Pro utility is showing health status warnings for them, with one having calibration retry count errors being flagged whilst the other has the same but also high ultra DMA CRC errors as well (more than happy to upload screen shots of the errors).

Please can you give me a shout about this, as ideally I would like to see about getting a refund for them. Cheers
