15" Apple MacBook Pro

Description:

This MacBook Pro was purchased last year during October and was customised to order from Apple's online UK store. The specifications, customised options and extras are listed below:

Specifications:

15-inch glossy widescreen (customised option)
2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (upgraded by myself with memory from Crucial: 4GB kit (2GBx2), 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module)
160GB Serial ATA hard drive @ 7200RPM (customised option)
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 128MB
Extras:

AppleCare (2 years remaining) - Upgraded memory does not void AppleCare since it is a user replaceable part
Standard bundled accessories:
Various manuals
Two install disks which contains the following: Mac OS X Tiger (10.4), iLife '08 and various trials
Apple Remote
Apple MagSafe (power adaptor) and extension cord
Apple Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) installation disks (brand new installation)
Apple DVI to VGA Display Adapter
The MacBook Pro and the extras are in excellent condition except for a hairline scratch on the bottom of the MacBook Pro and the worn finish on its latch button. The scratch was caused by accident and it is very hard to see the scratch itself since it can only be seen under certain lighting conditions. You can barely see the hairline scratch as well as the worn finish of the latch button in the pictures below.

I have tried calling AppleCare twice regarding the latch button's finish, unfortunately on both occasions they would not cover it since they say it has been caused by wear and tear. This is not true since I have always looked after the MacBook Pro during my ownership of it. I have always protected it using the following products which are not included in this auction:

RadTech Sleevz (not included)
RadTech ScreenSavrz (not included)
POWER SUPPORT Track Pad Film (not included and the track pad looks and feels brand new since taking it off recently)

< arasul84 > please do not give out your mobile number on the forum. All stages of offer & acceptance must be carried out in thread. Members please report any unauthorised PM's etc.

OP you must post a picture of the MacBook with your user name displayed in the photo ASAP :

(5) Please post images including a piece of paper with your user name and date next to the actual items for sale. This helps your sale or trade by showing the condition and also that you have the items in your possession. This is not a necessity but will go a long way to helping your sale and establishing validity. If you post an eBay image, we may pull the listing immediately to request further information.

& please note no business trades are allowed on HUKD

As this is an expensive item & the seller has no Feedback, buyers please ensure :

SUGGESTED GUIDELINES FOR BUYERS

(1) Check the traders HUKD trading feedback. Please read details posted here: HUKD FS/FT feedback

(2) Outside of this you can use the poster's eBay feedback to establish some kind of trust level. If you do so make sure you contact the user through eBay to make sure the account they state as theirs is indeed theirs.

(3) Use PayPal. We would recommend only buying from Verified PayPal Members. You can see this status on the second PayPal screen when you go to make a payment, you do not have to complete the payment to view this. PayPal is far from perfect but at least it gives you the chance of recourse if things go pear shaped.

(4) Receive and validate the following information:

1. Landline telephone number Make a CALL to check out the area code and number are correct too!
2. Name and address including postcode
3. Valid e-mail address.
4. Make a small payment to and from each other to validate the PayPal e-mail address.

*PayPal Advice:
If paying by PayPal's 'Gift' option to save on fees, you won't be able to raise a regular dispute with PayPal if a transaction goes wrong. For protection make a normal payment and pay the fees...

(5) If possible, collect and pay for items in person.

Caveat Emptor. Do NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself. This forum is equivalent to a newspaper's classified section, HotUKDeals is not responsible for and does not vouch for any listings or sales/trades in this forum! Use your head, follow the guidelines, evaluate the risk and make your own decision.
