I have for sale 5 x 17" Alloy Wheels. Obviously one is for a spare in case you puncture a tyre etc.

One of the wheels is in perfect condition as it was reconditioned, the others have a few scrapes from general wear and tear, nothing that is really obvious though when they're actually on the car.

2 of the tyres are in v.good condition, one is brand new I think, 1 is in average condition and the other two will need replacing as they are punctured.

I'll post pics asap.

Have you been letting your Oh park the car?

They replaced a standard set of 15inch Vauxhall wheels on a Corsa C. I don't really know too much about them, they were on the car when I bought it. I've since sold it with original wheels, hence why I have these for sale.

DKLS, it was my first car after passing my test, hence the scrapes!!!

I'll stick them on ebay then, unless anyone wants to make me an offer?

£80 delivered?

Whereabouts do you live??

would this go on a VW polo 1999? would i need to do anything to the polo to put these on?

I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sure. As I said I don't really know much about them as I'm not really into cars. As I said they replaced a set of 15inch corsa wheels.

I should imagine they would, all the nuts will be in the same place etc, no reason why they wouldn't. I'll double check with my stepdad who's a mechanic and see what he says.

Right had a word with my stepdad, he doesn't know off the top of his head whether they'll fit a VW polo 1999 so I've measured the studs instead.

There are 4 studs (holes) on each wheel. Each stud is 3cm in diameter with 4cm between each stud. If this matches up with your wheels then they'll fit.

its for my freinds car so ill ask him to check it out.

you need to measure the height of the wheel and tyre & check this matches with that of the wheel and tyre you are replacing (eg 15" rim + 3" rubber top (the tyre) & bottom = 21" to replace with a 17" rim with 2" rubber (low profile tyre)
you have to be careful when putting larger rims on a car that your speedo is not altered & hence showing incorrect speed due to change in wheel + tyre size
also check suspension stiffness & travel - googling car owners forums for specific makes of car may help

Thanks J9STL, will do.

wow so there is alot more to it. bit worried about putting 17" alloys on the polo as the current one is the standard 13" so its kind of a big jump.
#15
Just measured. 17inch alloys plus 2inch either side for the tyre = 21inch.

yes it is, they may fit, but you may lose a lot of your turning circle as the tyres may catch the wheel arches when you apply a decent amount of lock

If there is 4inches of tyre either side of your mates wheels then you're in luck

there's a polo here with 17" wheels - may have uprated the suspension though?
