Bit of a strange one this. The flat that me and my g/f bought last year from new had a clause in the planning permission which meant that the council had to provide owners with travel vouchers to encourage public transport use. Both me and my g/f use our cars to go to work, and there are in fact no practical ways of us getting to work via public transport anyway. This being the case the only thing the council could offer us that might be of some value was prepaid oyster cards. Each oyster card has a maximum prepay value of £90, so I have 2 of these for sale, they are unregistered so can be registered in your name once you purchase. Looking for as close to £80 as possible for each one. Payment by paypal gift, or bank transfer. I will post by special delivery or indeed these can be collected from leatherhead/sutton area. I understand these can be used on buses/tubes and some trains. I can post pics later with usernam if required. My username on ebay is the_man_28 over 200+ feedback over 6 years on there. I will put these on ebay on sunday if there are no offers here.
cheers

Not to dampen the sale but I think most people who would need £90 of prepaid would have a annual card, or travelpass, works out loads cheaper, I save nearly £300 a year by buying an annual over monthly.

It won't expire and you never know when it might be useful. I'm also sure, as a freebie, somebody will jump down your throat about profiteering contrary to HUKD rules. Sorry dude

Not necessarly I only travel in Zone 1and I use an Oyster card and spend approx £700 a year but a annual card cost £960.

I could be interested in this but not sure about the registration. I always thought you had to register the card to get any money on it? Am I wrong?

hi there, we specifically asked for them not to be registered as we said that either of us would want to use them. I can include the letter from the council confirming this.
oh, and each card comes with receipts for the value included

not everyone has £900 to pay upfront, also these are not a freebie if they are considered in the purchase price of my flat - which is by no means cheap!

Why don't you just take them to a London Underground ticket office & cash them in at £90 each?

Don't get if you don't ask, however I tried to cash in the last two months of my annual card when I went traveling but they told me to get on my bike.
