Hello mate, I'm really sorry I never got around to answering your offer in my thread earlier this week, I just kept getting distracted! It's not common practice for me to end up completely ignoring someone! I can't really afford it till after I've been away for the weekend, but if the SATA doesn't go then I'll take it on Wednesday when I get back.

To be fair there going for slightly more than that plus postage and this is not old, but will be fair and listen to offers :)

http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GeForce+9+Series/PALIT+NVIDIA+9400GT+1GB+/w+HDMI+?productId=37141&source=googleps

£34.44 on Aria ... ok given that's excl postage. But still.

ah well I wont make any offers as you obviously want to get back most of what you paid for it, don't blame you.

But in my experience second kit like this only tends to sell for about half of it's orignal price. I recently sold a 4870 on ebay, only sold for £65, and an 8600GT earlier in the year for £33.

good luck :)

is the graphics card better than a bfg 8800gts 320mb oc2? if so then how come it is so damn cheap? i swear my card cost like £180 or something 2 years ago :-(

No it's not, atleast not for games. Just because it has a 9xxx prefix it doesn't mean it's better, it's just an indication of the generation. The 9400 is more of a workstation card and would not be better than a 8800 which is more geared up around gaming. An 9800, on the other hand, would definitely be better.

Infact the 9400GT isn't as good as even an 8600GT, it's very much just a workstation card as suggested, pretty useless for games.

pretty useless for games.

I wouldn't go that far. It would be suitable for all but the most modern games on medium settings, and even then the lesser demanding new ones, e.g. Sims 3, would run just fine. A Crysis beater it is not :)
