I assume you mean the 250gb HDD (since £18 is above asking for the other!)

That's too low sorry. It's brand new. Checked on fleabay and they're going for £30+

That hard drive has a both Hitachi and Toshiba stickers on it, which is it?Also the 30GB IDE is a bit expensive? I only paid £12 for my 60GB sata, and £16 for a 120GB sta.

It's a hitachi I believe. Warranty replacement of one taken from a Toshiba laptop. Don't really want to break it out of the sealed bag to check.

The IDE is priced as it is due to the fact they're hard to get hold of now. The same spec drive is about £20+del on fleabay.
A bit like DDR2 RAM, IDE drive prices bottomed out and are now on the way back up as they get harder to find.

Hope that clears things up?

hi m8, £20 for the HDD?

assuming you mean the 250gbb?
looking for closer to asking. how about £25?
#18
yeah sorry I mean the 250gbb, £25s a bit too much really, im risking it and hoping it fits my laptop lol. I won't be happy spending that much on it for it not to work really... Once I open it theres no hope me re-selling or returning you see, or I can spend more from a retailer and return it.. It's just on the off-chance you'd be happy with that, no hard feelings if not.
#19
im interested in the 250gb hdd, but i dont have a bank account yet. if it is still available in like 2 weeks i would be interested but i cant guarantee it so just carry on as normal then pm if you havent sold it in the near future :)

Sorry for the delay, been a busy weekend!
Hard drives are pretty standard across all hardware (I'm an IT engineer btw). Provided your laptop has a SATA connection it will work fine. I can understand the cuation though. Have you removed the old HDD from your laptop yet?

It's possibly also worth me mentioning that I sold an unsealed drive exactly the same as this a few weeks ago for £25 so it's not a bad price by any means.

assuming it'll definatly work ill probably be taking it off you, assuming you still have it.

its out of a dell inspiron 1545, ive been looking for SATA II but the stickers on here say...

HDD : 5k320-250
Model : HTS543225L9A300 5400RPM
5V 700mA DC 250GB
SATA 3.0Gb/s (??)
made it thailand etc etc...

SATA 3.0Gb/s
Capacity 250 GB
RPM 5400
Firmware# C40C

Hi mate,

I assume the details you've given there are from your existing drive? Looks like it's almost the same drive (first part of the model number of yours matches mine - HTS5432).
I'm so sure it'll work that if you find it's not compatible I'll offer a full refund and pay for return postage.

And yes, I still have it!

Let me know what you want to do
